@@FexyVRC I assume you mean clean installing windows over the top of an existing install and not deleting existing content right? Because if you mean the nuclear option of deleting the whole drive before installing windows then the nuclear option only ever needs to be done once as trim does a damn good job of making sure everything gone for good, I am an expert at accidentally deleting SSD's with content I wanted to keep because I was not paying attention and finding it was all unrecoverable. Given the whole debacle over Acemagic's nefarious behavior previously can you even trust the drivers they supply? Generally Windows will find most of the drivers required for the components of these mini computers and even if that is not the case then the manufacturers of those components usually have drivers available and probably more up to date than the ones Windows uses. To be fair though I was not even aware of the Acemagic issue until everyone started making videos on it because like Laptops I get I took the nuclear option of delete and clean install the acemagic device I got after unboxing it just because I really dislike all the bloatware these vendors shovel into them heh.

The Chinese mini PCs have a modified version of Windows 11. Beelink does it too. What they are trying to do is to get around the requirement to use a Microsoft account with the newer versions of Win 11. Check the version of Windows. I didn't realize that my Beelink was stuck on 21H2. That is unsupported, and you won't get all of the updates. My Beelink was so effed up I couldn't even do a clean install. I had to download the latest version of Windows and use a USB stick to do an in-place upgrade. Also, check for malware. Ace Magic has been known to pre-install it. From what I hear, they don't do it anymore, but you have a refurb. Scan it with a good 3rd party anti-virus. Makes you wonder what they have done to the Microsoft built-in AV. That's actually very good now. It must be modified on the earlier Ace Magic machines to allow the malware to install and stay there.

@@NiceEyeballs Transferring the software should be enough, but I'm not sure about the driver. If it is included in the application files, there would be no problem. It's important what kind of microcontroller is used to drive this screen, and also how microcontroller "is connected to" pc. I think this screen uses USB 2.0 cable standard (visible at 10:40 - that black tiny 4 wires with white header ) so it can be classic "Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge" - And also visible with this name in Device manager.
