I'm already surprised these cars are slept on. It's the LAST Celica ever made and it's such a god damn amazing car. Amazing enough that I bought a 01' GT-S last month and I absolutely love it. I'm no stranger to future classics though. I bought an 88' Supra in fantastic shape last year and that poor gal has been criminally de-valued for decades and it's only just now starting to creep up. I fully expect it to be near classic status and price by the end of the decade. I'm Extremely proud to own the first Supra and the last Celica at the same time. I don't wany anything else, ever.

Celica is a great car. Have the UK Spec GT TRD -VVTLi (35mm lower, TRD high spoiler/skirts/valance) in Thunder Grey. Regular oil changes every 2500 to 3000 miles. Clean OCV filters (192 BHP there are 2). I use Denso IK20TT spark plugs. Better response. The 190 engine can leak oil, usually timing chain gasket at bottom rear near PS pump. Most people think it is chain tensioner o ring but the timing gaskets can become brittle and leak. Bit of a pain to change but doable in a few hours. Rear brake callipers on GT have a habit of seizing up so once a year cleaning/greasing helps. Handles brilliant through country lanes and keeps up/often embarrass many high BHP cars. Not brilliant straight line speed. Can be hard to keep in lift (6200 RPM) when changing gear. Se7en Motorsports UK are good for tuning and offer turbo charged and super charging over 300BHP to 400 BHP. MWR Racing in US great source for aftermarket and OEM parts. Join a Celica forum. Some great people on there who are helpful.

I got one as my second car, learnt to drive last December and got a 88bhp mini one which was slower than a snail... My VVTI140bhp feels like a race car in compression. I've been told now though that its best just to go for the 190bhp version although someone said they've taken both on the track and the 190 was only 1 second faster so who knows if the 190 is even worth the extra price.

@@_username123_2 my mini one was an 04 plate so not sure if you have one of the new models which could be faster than the old versions but I'm not sure about that. I had a convertible but the super slow pull off got.okd.pretty quickly.

Weirldy enough, I follow this dude on instagram. Now here his car is on my youtube feed. Value of these already seems to be skyrocketing - last year i got one with service history for 1200 quid - you'd be lucky to get one that runs for a grand now, let alone 400 quid. Mine is my first ever car - very approachable coupe!

Can't speak for UK currency, but after fees I paid about $8K for my 140K miles GTS from a deal last month. I'm sure that sounds crazy, but consider I've only seen 200K+ mile cars around here and dealers charge the same for them. Both the lift bolts are broke of course so that will be a hefty bill and it has condensation issues lol. It sucks, but I was lucky to even FIND it in the first place around here. I really love the car.

Rust is a major issue with these cars… the subframes seem to rot …. Try and get one on a ramp and inspect it thoroughly before buying … Amazing cars, they feel very quick… light body and razor like handling… when lowered the handling is even better …. Got a 04 t- sport down only 65k, drive it mainly in dry weather and at night when you can really open up the 2zz

I just got a GT for £850, needs a lot of cosmetic work but so far its been lowered, next I want to respray from the gloss black to matt black. its weird how my GTS doesn't have a sunroof but then I've seen a red version of the same spec with a sunroof.

What was the mileage on this £400 model? I got one with 52, 000 miles for £700 in 2021, discounted due to Cat D damage but sailed through 3 MOTs since.

The wheels are Calibre Suzukas, not Rays Gram Lights, the wheel even says 'RAVS' not 'RAYS'. I've sold plenty of those in my time in the alloy wheel industry. Love the car though.
