Wow that hut is awesome. I think it would be a hut for some Central American indigenous people and built off the ground for protection from floods and animals possibly. That’s really neat! And the Queen’s dollhouse sounds amazing. ❤

Also before Dollhouse making made a comeback, Frances Glessner Lee made crime scenes using miniatures and came up with the concept of Forensic Science
@WhitneyLaBrie Жыл бұрын
yes thats so funny you bring her up! My aunt always calls me Frances because I love true crime and miniatures! I recently had the chance to work with a true crime KZbinr and we built the HH holmes murder house. Im hoping to work with her again and create a crime scene room box for a case that she is highlighting. It would be so interesting to create that!

Oh, that train scale house is cute. I watch some model train channels, or did, they do the same stuff with aging wood/stone/bricks/ roofs and terrain that there is a lot of crossover that can be used in this hobby. I saw one channel had a tiny house like that with lights, and people inside. Like a dining room with people at the table and all kinds of food laid out. I think HO scale is 1:48 or something like that? There was another channel selling little houses that were hinged to open so you could put furniture in the rooms. Room interiors sold separately, you paint them. So cute 12:43 on your video for the house

It’s one of the few items I didn’t put up for sale yet. I wanted to do a little more research on it..thank you for giving me a good place to start!

Hmmm, that last item seems like it's for an area that might flood, but I'm not sure I would call it a 2 room place. Seems like one room, open to the elements. With shade below, you could probably string a hammock down there if the weather is nice. Interesting. Not sure what country something like that would be found in. Sort of reminds me of those channels like Primitive Survival (I think?) where a couple of guys use primitive shovels and build little structures.

I agree. It could be used in so many different ways. I really love the uniqueness of it!

The Hawaiian postcard says Merry Christmas in Hawaiian. Knew a Hawaiian person. Mele Kalikimaka or something like that. I that thing that lets you cook and bake with a Dutch oven over the fireplace. All homes should have that so we can cook when the power goes out, and stay warm. But you need wood to burn. So it isn't practical in some environments
@WhitneyLaBrie2 жыл бұрын
You are a genius! Thank you for that info!
@recoveringsoul7552 жыл бұрын
@@WhitneyLaBrie Not a genius. But my son was in Boy Scouts before they got weird. And we used cast iron Dutch ovens on camping trips. You can bake in them, but it needs to be the right KIND of Dutch oven, the kind with a lid that has a lip on it so you can put hot coals on the TOP, to get the Baking effect. Like for bread, or fruit cobbler. You can of course make soups and stews without that. The Boy Scout stores sell those. I need to get one. They also have FEET on them, like 3 or 4 little legs to hold them up over the coals on the bottom. They also sell special tools to safely remove the lid without dumping the coals into your food, a tricky business. I even picked up a box of recipes specifically for those kinds of Dutch Ovens, complete with how many coals to place below and on top. Army surplus store is a good place for old cast iron. When we went to Hawaii the hotel we stayed at had Bamboo growing outside, in the breeze they bumped against each other and since they're hollow, it made a neat windchime sort of sound. That stuff grows super-fast, good renewable resource for building furniture, and I even saw a beautiful home built with bamboo in Thailand or somewhere like that.
