In my friend group, I am known for Jotunn being my anti-weapon, or nemesis if you will. I hate dying to it cuz I know the player on the other end realistically is a total potato. It takes the already easy-to-use fusion rifle and grants it sniper like range with tracking. It feels like its harder to miss. It's a a stupidly oppressive weapon for how stupidly easy-to-use. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who sometimes struggles against this weapon. IMO I think they should remove the tracking entirely.

Jötunn definitely gets way better tracking at mid-ranges. Close range you’ll miss most targets if they’re moving almost at all, and longer range it’s very easy to strafe. I honestly don’t think it needs a nerf, it’s just a very strong weapon. It basically makes you play by your opponent’s rules. However, you can counter it by using cover and baiting, long range or close range weapons as well.

As a person who uses Jotunn frequently in trials for early picks, all you have to do is aim towards their feet if they're getting close to you. Also, never ADS because it makes peak firing onto snipers/pulses a LOT more forgiving.

This is the kind of thing that happens to me (us) in sports as well. When we match up against good players it’s going to be a good play as you’d expect. But when your going against the bottem of the leaderboard and you think it’s going to be an easy clapp’n, you find yourself stuck in 2nd gear and need to pull out everything to get the win still.. at least, that’s my experience 😅

Ngl it doesn't need a nerf. When you are aware of the enemy using one in trials and you know how it plays, then you play the corners and try to bait the shot. Cause a jotunn player will ALWAYS think about shooting the first shot. Then think (sometimes lol) about the second shot

Theoretically they have infinite range but are very easy to see coming at a distance and strafing by it is easy. At close range its also very easy to read and move, as it's tracking is far less noticeable. Middle range is the only area where they are particularly strong, and even then simply baiting and playing cover is an easy counter

You gotta stop looking at Kd like it’s the ultimate determining factor. Trial games can heavily skew kd just because there’s only 3 kills available at most, the engagements are typically fast and a lot of games end with one player dominating regardless if they’re the best between the two teams.

I have played so many triple Jotunn stacks and I have learned some things: -Peeking and inmediatly hiding at the start of the match for some reason works every single time to make them waste shoots because they love gambling with their ammo to get an easy kill. -Switching to short range dueling weapons is the best choice because Jotunn at short range is really bad (if you know what you are doing and don't walk in a straight line) and usually Jotunn users are awful at primary duels. -Always be looking behind you or unusual peeking spots, as that's the streght of Jotunn, getting kills from akward angles. -Sniping is really ineffective because it makes you an easy target to get tracked and because they don't need to aim Jotunn they don't need to slow down to be able to kill you, making it harder to get a headshot. -Strafe lol

Titan thrusters counter them pretty well. But hunter dodge doesn’t break tracking anymore. It’s just annoying when it tracks around corners. Just like getting hit by throwing knives behind cover. Except it’s just a weapon and not an ability, and requires just a body shot. And has more tracking than a rocket with tracking module. Please reduce its velocity and tracking. It should be good against noobs. Not good players too

@@1votdopeningfan138 I agree, i use it too sometimes and you usually don't kill good players, even the half decent ones will most likely be able to avoid dying from it after you get them a couple of times or at the very least they would start to trade the kill. I also noticed that people that die from jotun, consistently get themself killed by any player who is able to achieve close to sub-optimal TTK due to overextending out of cover, jotun charge time is longer then most weapons (longer then meta ones anyways), even if you precharge the jotun, unless the dude getting shot is being a sitting duck or being very predictable, the shot most likely miss, in other words, if you die to that too many times, you're not playing too good that match. The way this match turned out kinda confrims my thought too, as soon as they've started being cautious and rational, they got the upperhand.

@@RobmsTheM4A1 my biggest problem is strafing behind cover when I hear a jotunn as soon as possible, but it curves around the cover…. I’m a trash player or anything. I got a couple we rans and flawlesses(I don’t get carried or anything like that for money. One time was kinda a carry though). But I just find things that one tap you to the elbow frustrating when you’re moving to cover. Maybe I just gotta play like SUPER passive against jotunn. Like fire a shot and take cover before I even hear the charge

@@BuffGenji that's probably due to range, you can only use the sound clue as a trigger for hiding when you are engaging a bit further then mid ranges, i used it on trials this weekend and that sound clue error is probably what got most people killed after the fourth point on the card. Anyways i understand why it can be frustrating but I noticed that no matter what people get the cheesiest loudouts for trials, including mad aim assist guns shooting hit scan head magnets, i know it's not the same thing as a 1 hit body kill but still, a lot of people would be missing half the shots without it and they still mad at a full second charge time 1 hit gun because it tracks.
