Thanks Brian, i was not aware of this and I have just started to use it (and subscribed to your channel!). One question i have - I use LR classic, so i dragged an edited RAW file over to the web version. When I tried to share in the community it indicated that I had not done sufficient edits on it to be able to share. So i did a few tweaks and it allowed me to share, but I wanted the ability to share my edited version from LR classic. Thats the version i want to post. Is this possible, or do i need to, for example, create a virtual copy, then reset the edits in the copy and post that into lightroom and re-edit it there?

Very Interesting. I've looked in the community pages a bit. the recommended presets from the community in Lr editing are helpful even if i don't use the often. which lead me back to that page to see what that preset creator might have done. I have some quibbles on how the save / create a version works or doesn't work but that's not the subject here. What little I just saw of someones editing was really interesting Thanks for sharing. - tim

Interesting video, Brian. I have a question: I use Lightroom Classic. Can I be part of the Lightroom community/ecosystem, or is this complicated?
@brianmatiash4 күн бұрын
Great question! While Community is not available in Lightroom Classic, you can use it in Lightroom Mobile and Lightroom Web, as well as Lightroom Desktop.
@craig_m_mi4 күн бұрын
@@brianmatiash Not being available in Classic is a problem, and I think that is by design.

@@brianmatiash Thanks, Brian. What a strange situation. Not to mention frustrating. I got very excited watching all the things one can do with the community in your demonstration...only to discover that they're not available if you're committed to the Classic iteration of Lightroom. I suppose the answer is use Lightroom Desktop for this purpose, but that I assume means creating a separate cloud catalogue, and thereby complicating my existing method of cataloguing my photo library, which works just fine as it is. I'd be interested to know how many (tens of thousands of?) people are in my position. Thank you for your reply, though!

Looks like a great feature. But I have to ask - by participating in the Community are you allowing Adobe to use your photos for AI training? Or does that apply only to photos you upload to Adobe Stock. And this feature is not the same as Behance? I’ve never been clear on what Behance does. Thanks!

It could begreat if I can share my pictures to a specific friends-group, for example I made a photowalk in advance.
@brianmatiash4 күн бұрын
You could share an album with specific people using Lightroom Desktop/Web, and give them access to like, comment, contribute, and edit. That'd be a perfect use case for your photowalks. Check out my video on that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXfcd5uCf5KNqck
