I find it interesting that the companies KZbin videos and this one focuses more on superficial information and leaves out information such as generated power to water flow, minimum to maximum water flow ranges and possible damage in high water flow. Sounds like another snake oil.

The advantage of the solution is using slow moving waters. The torque is huge but rpms are low, so using a proper transmission will easily power a regular generator. Without a proper trasmission no generator will give any real power.
@peterbetts8740 Жыл бұрын
No it isn't. If you try to extract any 'torque' from that, the water will simply ride over the top of it and you'll get nothing Even worse, it's upsetting the natural flow of the water. Don't worry, Ma Nature never gets mad, she just gets even - and will flush that thing away like it was the piece of contrived nothingness that it actually is. Some fishes further downstream may find a use for it

@@peterbetts8740 whether it works is one thing, but I don't really see how its upsetting the flow of the river.
@waderivers995 ай бұрын
@@mikearchibald744It's not. I live on a river and I can immediately spot someone who knows nothing about it. First of rivers flood, huge amounts of debris are washed into the water. I have dead trees floating down my river the size of 18 wheelers. Water turbines are the future because water is 700 times more dense than air. That means power.

2mph=1m/s, assuming sweep area of 1m^2, for 1000kg/s it can generate 500W at 100% efficiency, which is impossible. Turbines efficiency is about 7%, but that is large hydroelectric stations, small turbines likes this give maximum 4% if we are being generous. That leaves about 20W. Plus mechanical to electrical loss, transformer losses, you would be lucky to get 10W out of it.
