I think Diddy like most people are confused about what deku said about gentle. He was the toughest opponent he had to fight not strength wise but because he was killing gentles dream and he knew that gentle was not a true villain so it hurt him to do it. It was an internal struggle for him

21:15 Complete nerd rant but Diddy, Deku didn't actually mean that. Near the middle of the fight he said he's fought way stronger people than him, Gentle later brings this up again once he powers up, asking if he's still no match for the people Deku's fought before. This then leads to the amazing ending for the fight where Deku says that this was his toughest battle, probably not because Gentle was as strong as someone like Muscular or Overhaul but because Deku probably didn't even wanna fight him at the end cuz Gentle really wasn't a villain. Deku saying that Gentle was strong was to show his respect for him.

Want to know whats the ending of Solo Leveling, to sum it all Jin-Woo defeated the 7 monarch after that he ask the rulers to used the chalice of reincarnation. Resets everything after that they're all back to normal life those hunters, are not hunters anymore and Jin-Woo goes back to the double dungeon where he was first awakened.
