Use scholaro. If you CWA is 70-100, you gpa will be about 3.6-4.0. If your CWA is 60-69, it will be about 3.2-3.5. 50-59 about 2.8-3.2. I guess you attended KNUST. Let’s linkup

There's full funding and there's slavery. If you ain't going to top schools or at least middle rank, I'd say think twice except if you just wanna travel abroad. Be wise what you choose!

Not even the ROI. It's the time and most PI will just want you to do their work for them. It might not be even what you're interested in. Also, getting a PhD from a lower ranked school, you'd be lucky to find a high paying job. Getting a PhD from a medium or top ranked school. You are branded and filled with connections. You get jobs easily while you're doing the PhD. Some people even leave the PhD once they have the MS because a company gave them a huge offer. Like I said, if you're traveling because you want to go abroad and stuff, then sure. But don't expect anything easy. I don't have a MS or PhD. I'm a final year student in Canada. I have done research and have some publications. I see what MS student and PhD student go through. If you get a job offer to come abroad, that's golden. Other than that, getting full funding to a lower ranked is straight slavery to me.

@@estherezemba258 I don't use those . QS ranks is what I use. It shows the research quality of the school. Also US mostly ship people back home now anyways. However, you can get married to someone or get someone pregnant (or get pregnant) to ensure you stay. I think the latter method are idiotic ways but I understand why. If you good at your shit, top schools will get you. A PhD or MS at a top school is worth gold in my opinion than a PhD at a lowly ranked school.. You work for 5 to 8 years doing someone else's research and getting paid peanuts.. those peanuts are better than what they have in Nigeria tho so.. There are other countries that offer better opportunities but the short sighted people only see America.
