I love all the different tones of colours used. I haven't seen a lot of 'designer homes' where the designer uses such a range of shades all in one room. This is such a home owner thing to do. Most 'designer homes' are a variant of white/beige with 'Pops of Colour'. This was brilliant. (Except for that armchair that was atrocious)

just a pile of "arty" sh*ts to be precise, sigh, there should be at least 9 metre square for each object to speak its art space, thus he should just move the lot to a large warehouse in jersey for FULL display instead, or better still, PUT SOME IN STORAGE and limit the object on display !!!!!!!!!!

Colors, patterns and designs are kind of like music. It can be dialed up or down. This space is intriguing and matches her art well. It's interesting to see that different people like to live at different volume levels. I guess I'm in the middle but when I see her house, it's like a symphony is playing. The home owner likes that feeling of the symphony in her daily life. It is a little intense but very cool indeed. In the city filled with glass and stone, its nice to be vibrantly yourself.

@GraceCanadaful4 жыл бұрын
Even when these items sell for millions, I will say they are mostly ugly. Yes, colour is vitality and North America is afraid of colourful homes, but this apartment is ugly - full of things that look like scraps of ideas. I dont care if the designer is Italian and loved by snobs. Colours can be applied beautifully, shapes can be playful, but like in a beautiful garden - harmony is important. No harmony here - it is just a joke....

I love the colours and the character of this house but it's almost disappointing to find Eames and Van der Rohe furniture spread between all the other unique pieces. I get that you need neutral pieces too, but it's almost like they're trying to counter the - as she calls it - "low-class" of the surreal pieces of less-established designers. They're good chairs -no question, but I'm disappointed that they'd go for them, it feels unimaginative and cold. The primary function of design icons like the Eames longe chair or the Barcelona chair has become to signify status and that's boring.
