To those people saying negative statements about this procession. Who are you to question their faith? Its still Jesus that they worship. The statue is not a form of idolatry for the significance lies in what it represents. It is only in the image of Christ and is a reminder of Him. He knows those who seek Him and will go through a crowd with hundreds of people fighting against the heat and suffocation to get his attention. The Traslacion only serves as a form of sacrifice to get their prayers answered.

Why is this manufactured statue being worshiped? The Holy Bible states in Acts 17:29 "Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device." God does not dwell in temples made with hands (Acts 17:24). People really need to study the word of God regarding these idols.
