I think the reason I liked Death In Her Hands is because I work in a behavioral health hospital with the elderly population ... when you said that her loneliness has "made her inner world very rich" I laughed; it is a very polite way to describe paranoia / delusional disorders.I might start saying that myself haha. The character reminded me a lot of my patients. We prefer not to use the word crazy though :)

For me who had a great grandmother with Alzheimer's disease, it made even more painful and tearful to read this. It touched me in so many ways. Fedrik Backman is so talented and sensitive in this novella. It's on storytell in audiobook and ebook if you are interested

🌙 I was having an awful day before this and you just made it so much better and it being an hour long, I'm not complaining at all and I really enjoyed the unhinged, deranged woman theme you had going on. 😂 P.S I really wish you would try the hidden legacy series by Ilona Andrews (in case you already did, please ignore this!). The covers are catastrophic and can scare you away but underneath it all, it has a great plot and characters. Its one of my favorite fantasy romance series ever, so do give it a try if you can! 🤧
