An eye-opening and moving speech from musician and Beatles band member George Harrison (1943 - 2001) on spirituality, consciousness, life and death. Let's remember the messages he had to share with the world.
“Everything else can wait, but the search for God cannot wait.”

George put spirituality on the map and wasn't afraid to speak up about his beliefs. All of this is true. There is truth in all religious philosophies. If everyone accepted this, there wouldn't be any wars fought today based on religion.

When I was a child my innate belief was reincarnation. I was a kid living in the country with no religious talk in my home. It made perfect sense to my 6 year old mind. The first time a friend explained god and religion to me I though he was just messing with me because it sounded so ridiculous, like a fairy tail. I think I was right back then, and nothing has changed my mind in the 66 years I have now lived.

I met George on Maui in 1977. The next day he went to Hana with my boss and hangers-on and he slipped and literally cracked his skull open. I would have been his guide if not for Bob Longhi, who died years ago and the restaurant burned down (Lahaina) last year. George and I said nothing. I was young and stupid and had no words but I did an excellent spit-take with a mouthful of potatoes. That got a big smile from George. I met Ringo in 1990. Many George songs in my repertoire.

Unfortunately George Harrison spread his love around " too much"....the extreme heartbreak of his wife due to his infidelity was devastating, but indeed looking at the other side of the coin this was a big lesson for her to raise her self esteem and to heal and choose someone more worthy of this lovely lady. George was a very soulful musician and brought a level of beauty and brilliance to the music industry!

At 5 years old, I received my first Beatles album in 1966. At that point in time, in retrospect, none of them really stood out from another...meaning they all shared time on the tracks of the album. Lead vocals were traded off, depending on the track. It appears the album I had was version 2 of Introducing The Beatles...but I remember the one I had was with the album cover with their faces with the black background, yet in wiki it shows that album with them posing in suits...I wonder if I had a counterfeit? I dunno...regardless, it had these songs on it: 1. "I Saw Her Standing There" McCartney 2:50 2. "Misery" Lennon with McCartney 1:48 3. "Anna (Go to Him)" (Arthur Alexander) Lennon 3:00 4. "Chains" (Gerry Goffin, Carole King) Harrison 2:25 5. "Boys" (Luther Dixon, Wes Farrell) Starr 2:28 6. "Ask Me Why" Lennon 2:24 Total length: 14:55 Side two No. Title Lead vocals Length 1. "Please Please Me" Lennon with McCartney 2:00 2. "Baby It's You" (Burt Bacharach, Mack David, Barney Williams) Lennon 2:41 3. "Do You Want to Know a Secret" Harrison 1:59 4. "A Taste of Honey" (Ric Marlow, Bobby Scott) McCartney 2:05 5. "There's a Place" Lennon and McCartney 1:53 6. "Twist and Shout" (Phil Medley, Bert Russell) Lennon 2:33 Total length: 13:11 The above found in wiki, not only shows the song writers, but also shows who took lead vocals. I'm turning 63 this year, so that was a while back, for sure. Just making the point that it appears that most, if not, all Beatles albums had a standard that everyone in the band had at least one track that they were the featured vocalist. I think this kept the albums interesting. I put this album together of stuff either I, or friends, or family members wrote, but, depending on the song, I would sing with different approaches, in order to not quite sound the same from song to song. McCartney is very good at it...I mean Why Don't We Do It In the Road is approached completely different vocally vs, say, I Will...still McCartney, but way different vocal approach....anyway, I'm getting all Beatles blah blah blah here. Thanks for posting this about George, and hope you and yours are doing great!

Agree but thinking through this a little So it’s within you and within me and within my brother. How about within the dog and cat and rat. How about the trees and rocks. Is it the whole kingdom within each one of us or a slice of the kingdom. If it is the whole thing, then how many kingdoms are there. If it’s a slice, do I get the bigger slice and my brother gets the smaller slice. Then how do I access it Nice ideas thanks

Everyone thinks John and Paul but George was the Beatles. Never given his just do. No one knows he out sold everyone of any Beatle or any wings or Lennon plastic ono songs ever written. Check it out. He was a great person and guitarist and song writer that ever lived. Just a great human being. Was so sad when he died. But if you watch the documentary on his life and death. His wife said when he took his last breath the whole room lit up like the sun. How befitting. Amen.

Does any one know his blood type? We are Spirits w Soul, living as physical beings. I was so happy when George started talking about his connection to god, but saddened when I found out it was krishna. There is no Salvation for him...just reincarnation, repetition. The Bible teaches that; it is appointed unto man, that he die but once. No Pergatory. Death and judgement. No second or third chances. All religions, but Christianity are false, and of the Devil, because they deny Jesus the Christ as the only path to Salvation. I have great appreciation for George. Always felt he was the most reflective, introspective and hopefully the kindest heart.

There’s a big emphasis on suffering, detachment from anything that is part of the illusion and overcoming it by accepting all is perception in Buddhism. All religions teach the same thing just interpreted according to their limited understanding and in an alegoric sort of way according to the evolution and understanding and moral views of those doing the teaching. And as christ said many in the religions can be wolves in aheeps clothing and false prophets. Everything george said is true. Maybe he felt he wasnt from this world because he wasnt. Many souls come to this planet from other planets, born here to bring new teachings and planr seeds of awareness in the peoples mind or consciousness.

All religions separate/ and divide humanity. You can disagree all you want. Please be open minded and understand others with unconditional love and acceptance. Obviously with Islam and all abrahamic religion is not the path of love. I have met countless of muslim and they are not nice to other that are not from the same tribe or believes. So how merciful is that? You muslims like to control and hate others in the name of your god? Well That's not the teaching I would want for the next generations to come. Look at Africa and all Islamic states who hold the name of allah but still kill and rape. How do you justify that?
