That's because they're under the faulty impression there's something "human" and "empathic" deep down in an emotionally cold psychotic. There's nothing to "understand" in a psychotic anyway, they're purely driven by egotistical needs and have zero understanding (in a way which is utterly alien to normal people) of the mayhem they cause in other people's lives. A true empath with a sense or rationality (and this isn't always a trait among kind people, far from it) would spot a psychopath and either distance themselves from them or warn others. Playing a caricature of a psychopath is actually fairly straightforward. If you're "entertained" you'll believe anything as a viewer. Kudos to the *writer* then. "Maybe. Idk." Only sensible thing you've written. Tell me, do you work with people's health for a living? I bet not.

What an incredible talent. I can't remember the last time I saw an actor so brilliantly juggle being funny, scary and real. Maybe not since Christian Bale in American Psycho. That's certainly not to say that she's just a female version of that because certainly not. Her performance as Villanelle is absolutely it's own, very unique thing. The number one thing Killing Eve has going for it is definitely it's two lead performances, with Sandra Oh being excellent as well. However Jodie Comer, when she's on screen you just cannot take your eyes off of her. I hope to see her in many more future projects. With Killing Eve's showrunner Phoebe Waller-Bridge involved in the Bond franchise, hopefully she can get Comer on board with one of those films.
