The name of the restaurant is misleading. The original owners are from the Chinese district of Vietnam. :)

great video. i'm a fan of banh bot chien too and there arent many places that offer it...so its a must get whenever i eat here. for mi wonton, i highly recommend Teo Chow Noodle Shack in Fremont and see how you think it compares to China Chen's popular version. looking forward to future videos.

It's right on the outskirts of downtown SJ, and a close walk to San Jose State University. It really is this good. People have been coming here for decades!

I live round the corner from some of the best Vietnamese restaurants in all of Victoria. They are authentic and OG as they come. If you ever visit Australia, we will definitely need to spend an entire day here on a progressive meal! Lets go and visit Vietnam together. Yay!! I think you'll both enjoy China Chen! Btw, China Chen doesn't serve pho; they have egg noodle and rice noodle dishes (but not pho). The #10 is the most popular (noodle soup with wontons and bbq pork).
