Arken Age is an upcoming VR game for PSVR2, Steam VR, PCVR and hopefully Meta Quest 3 in the future. It's a sci-fi first person shooter (FPS) made by Vitruvius VR, a game developer that has made Shadow Legends VR and Mervils: A VR adventure.
Arken Age is releasing on January 16, 2025.
For the past three years, VitruviusVR, the developers behind Shadow Legend VR and Mervils: A VR Adventure, have been working on an exciting new sci-fi fantasy title called Arken Age. This single-player Virtual Reality adventure takes place in the Bio-Chasm, a terraformed fantasy world crafted by the Grand Arborist. In Arken Age, players can engage in intense, physics-driven combat with Arkenite-infused swords and guns, while freely exploring rich, dynamic environments under threat from Hyperion’s neural corruption.
In Arken Age, you play as a biological alien creation with full locomotion, allowing you to jump, crouch, climb, and swim freely. The game offers a first-person perspective where you can see your entire body and physically holster weapons onto your character. But you’re not the only adaptable being in this world-your enemies can dynamically leap at you, scale buildings, and seamlessly switch between long-range gunplay and close-quarters sword combat in real-time. You can push enemies, knock them down with sweeping leg attacks, impale and lift them, blast them out of the air, and dismember their mechanical joints. With unpredictable enemies and complete movement freedom, Arken Age delivers a truly immersive and unparalleled combat experience in VR.
