"Tell Atem being in a kid is noncy" -in Britain, a "nonce" is a child predator, and Yugi is a child and Atem is the ancient Pharoah who lives inside him as another personality after he solved the pyramid puzzle. He possesses Yugi's body when things get tough during a duel (which is why Yugi's voice got so deep in the second verse, because Atem took over). Also, Mark Spector is Moon Knight's name, and Steven Grant is the other personality (Mr. Knight). "Legal decks shouldn't need checking with cardiographs" is a joke about how Yugi/Atem is always talking about "the heart of the cards" in that they themselves are spiritual beings and should be respected (and cardiographs are medical machines that track heart muscle activity), but also Yugi always happens to pull some bullshit move out of nowhere that seals his win, and that's why Mark was saying he was "judging his heart of the cards" because it's almost as if Yugi is cheating. Also, I think Atem's "turn-based" bar is triple-meaning: the card game is turn-based, the rap battle is turn-based, and his literal life is turn-based because he and Yugi "take turns" using Yugi's body. The "And when you're sent to the shadows / go say hi to your brother" bar is because Mark Spector accidentally got his little brother killed when they were children, which caused his mother to abuse him, which caused him to create his "Steven Grant" personality.

“Tell Atem being in a kid is noncy” is a diss at Yami Yugi (whose real name is Atem) Nonce is a British term for someone who molests kids (which is fitting sense Mr. Knight is British) Steven is basically calling Yami a “nonce” or a pedophile since he is over 3,000 years old but dwells inside and shares a body with Yugi Muto who’s a teenager.

Some of the lines that you might have missed: The Stone soldier bit was also a reference to Yugi/Atem's duel with Mako Tsunami. Mako played a moon card that increased the ATK of his water monsters and Yugi destroyed it with Giant Soldier of Stone in the early episodes of Yugioh. This one could be a stretch and m personal head canon, but that "Aye aye!" sounds like a reference to DPS's Sukuna Drill rap where part of the cadence is "Aye aye! Tap dance on yo grave! (grave!)". Sukuna is the King of Curses, Atem is the King of Games. Both were cursed and sealed at one point. The seal in the back behind Moon Knight during the "Rebirth of a Monster" line looked like the Seal of Orichalcos. The Seal of Orichalcos in the anime had to have a sacrifice offered to play the card and it destroys Special Summoned Monsters and Extra Deck Summons. With the theme of how Moon Knight went, you can put 2 and 2 together right there lol "Then all your powers turn third rate" is reference to Kaiba's "You're a 3rd rate duelist with a 4th rate deck!" line in Duel Links. OTK = One True King. Atem is the Pharoah and the King of Games. "Send you to the Shadows, go say hi to your brother" isn't just talking about Mark's dead brother being there, but in the comics, Mark's brother becomes the Shadow Knight and a recurring enemy of Moon Knight. These guys were on fire with the references and just the whole project. Also, you're the 1st reactor I've seen catch the "Too strange to hear a word from the doctors" line being a Doctor Strange 2 reference from when Moon Knight was first teased.

I'd like to point out the card design for Yami and MK's cards, Yami is a level 12 monster, usually reserved for the strongest monsters, while MK is a level 4 monster, which is just a normal summonable little dude, and he's also a ritual monster, which is the worst type of monster as it can't be normaled or specialed without a ritual spell. Yami literally called MK shitty with card design

The fact that Moon Knight’s verses went so extremely hard and were absolute fire with barely any flaws but he still lost by a considerable margin. Shows just how far Freshy Rap Battles have come. I really like how Spot and Yugi were both teased and both managed to win and live up to their hype. If one thing is official, it’s that Cam must be unstoppable for Freshy Rap Battles. I cannot WAIT for Josiah to react to Kratos vs Maui and possibly Alphys vs Purple Guy. His reactions are so entertaining that to the point that many others would literally rewatch the content just to see it.

Hey, Josiah, I know that 60 fps may look cleaner, but it takes more info to render, that’s why it’s laggy. In cinema there are 3 fps that have different uses: 24 fps is for that cinematic look, 30 fps is for live streaming, and 60 fps is for sporting events. I could explain more but to keep it simple, use 24 fps, it may not look as clean as 60 fps but it’s way less laggy.

Awesome reaction, Josiah! You brought the hype once again! So, I'm not well-versed in Yu-Gi-Oh, but I think I have some knowledge (Meaning, don't take this as truth, bc I very well could be wrong), but I did want to clarify some bars and give some fun facts. So, the matchup is obviously two Egyptian-inspired characters with split personalities. Mark Specter (who is Moon Knight) has Steven Grant, and Yugi Muto has Atem (who takes the name Yami Yugi in the show, but I'll say Atem because it's easier to distinguish). In MK's first verse, he starts off by criticizing how long it took Yugi to solve a puzzle. This refers to the Milennium Puzzle from Yu-Gi-Oh. Once it was solved, the spirit inside (which was Atem) went inside Yugi (Also, Yugi is the more high-pitched version while Atem is the lower-pitched version). Another thing, "noncy" is just British slang for "pretentious." The trio MK refers to is the three Egyptian Gods from Yu-Gi-Oh, which are also cards. They are "Slifer the Sky Dragon" (Pronounced "sl-igh-fer"), "Obelisk the Tormentor," and "The Winged Dragon Ra." The line "Legal decks shouldn't need checking with cardiographs" is a hit on the phrase "Heart of the Cards" which is used a lot in Yu-Gi-Oh, essentially meaning "I have faith my next draw will be good for me." The reason Steven is the one saying it is because he's more of the "Um, actually" persona. He's saying legal decks shouldn't need using your heart to pull from, and a cardiograph measures heart muscle activity. In MK's second verse, he says the line "Get off your high horse, no pegasus" which just references a character's name in Yu-Gi-Oh. In Yugi's second verse (Atem's verse), you can see this shadow split image which I think is directly from the manga/anime. This indicates that Yugi is a different person. The "Placed a ban on the rebirth of a monster" line is exactly what you said; a ban was placed on the card "Monster Reborn" bc it was broken, and I think in a game, it couldn't be used by both players before more recently (This I'm not sure about). Anyway, that's the ban line. "OTK" stands for "One Turn Kill" which is achieved in Yu-Gi-Oh by depleting all 8000 of your opponent's life points. So the line "This is an OTK, you'll get no time to recover" is very clever. The final bar is said by this shadowy version of Yugi bc I think it's Atem's true form (or something, idrk) but yeah. Anyway, after all of that breakdown and speculation on Yu-Gi-Oh lore, you've come to the end of my comment.
