Moro, the animator of the fight, actually thinks that if it was a 1v1 of Bowser vs Metal Sonic, Metal Sonic would probably win! Kamek just has the perfect counters to stop Metal Sonic’s copying abilities among other things. Plus Mario’s more cartoony universe allows a few more Toon force type feats yk? Like Donkey Kong punched the moon out of orbit for a gag. But yeah, it could go either way tbh, but this outcome makes the most sense.

Metal Sonic was the win condition. Eggman dying was the losing condition. The Eggman army was used to protect Eggman instead of protecting Metal Sonic. Eggman could have launched the attack from a safe distance but you know he is arrogant and loves the attention. MS even took hits protecting Eggman and thus was left open to attacks: he took the blast from the Grand Star instead of dodging to protect Eggman again. Bowser himself was win condition and lose condition. The troops would always give him whatever chance he needed to come back and power up. Bowser would tank the heavier blows instead of letting them die.

if eggman tried protecting his army (infinite, metal sonic, sage, etc) he would have also gotten a chance to win but because he cares less about them (except maybe sage) that lead to his downfall since metal was carrying eggman and infinite got oneshotted (he didnt actually die but he just stood there the whole time because of the reason he got said one shot).

My only issue with the Death Battle is how downplayed Eggman felt. I do think Bowser wins personally, however Eggman’s strongest matches up with Bowsers strongest. That feat with Mario crossing the universe doesn’t match up to an attack that spans an entire timeline, however both Bowser and Eggman has better speed feats so regardless that doesn’t matter. Again, I don’t entirely disagree with the result, in fact they mentioned that Metal Sonic alone could take out the majority of Bowser’s army. I’m just upset that they make the result seem like this was not close at all

@@spinozilla2421 The thing about that first one is that Time Eater isnt even the strongest Mech physically that Eggman has. Even if it was taken out that doesn’t particularly mean Eggman runs out of options. Even then, the most the Pure Hearts would do it counter the Time Eater’s sealing. Bowser n Co would still be facing a Super Sonic level threat. They got more stuff that could scale them even higher like the Wonder Flower or Phantom Ruby/Chaos Emeralds As for speed, again I’m not too upset because they match speeds pretty evenly with their highest stuff. I disagree with “Mario moving around the galaxy matches an attack that literally traverses a timeline”

36:17 In response to what happened to Sage , Sage became the Death Egg. Bowser Jr Shot the Death Egg with the Wand and It became the question block. If you know in Mario Lore, the first Mario Bros. Bowser Turned all the Toads into Blocks and at the end of the game we never turned them back into people. Sage became a question block with no certain way of being turned back into her own being, a Lifeless block. You'd have no idea if the person who was turned into these blocks are still alive or not.

I disagree, because barely any of eggman’s army can defend against magic, and magikoopas make up a large part bowser’s army. Kamek is the leader of the magikoopa army, and even the weakest soldier can transform a robot into anything else with one attack.

Nah, while Eggman's army had more raw power (via Metal Sonic), Bowser's army was way more versatile and had many options to shut down Eggman's army. While they didn't show it in the animation (because it would be lame), Kamek and King Boo had like 5 different options of completely shutting down Metal Sonic. From stealing the emeralds, to preventing Metal Sonic from using the Emeralds, transforming him into a Goomba, or trapping him in a painting, Bowser's army just had such a wide variety of powers that Eggman's couldn't stand a chance.

Based off the canon size of Bowser's army, of approximately 98 million, basically every Eggman bot would have to trade at least 10 for 1 to come out ahead. As Bowser's army is canonically almost 100 million, and Eggman likely could _build_ that many, I highly doubt he fields anywhere near that many bots at a single time. Now that Eggman has Sage to handle logistics its more likely he can field a much larger force in the future, but at present, assuming a generous estimate, I'd wager the odds are Bowser's nearly 100 million strong army versus around a 10 million strong Eggman army. Bowser simply has too much fodder for Eggman to win on the army front, not even factoring in any of Bowser's heavy hitters.

IF you think about it, the overall fight would be a tie. Both Eggman and Bowser are DEAD by the end of the fight. The thing is Bowser JR is able to revive Bowser. Bowser's act of protecting his army through out the fight is what wins him this match. He protects the army from infinite as best he can. He destroys the Ruby so it can't be used anymore. He berserks once his Son is hurt. Then jumps INFRONT of the beam to save his army. His bones are scattered and his army brings him together for a revive and Bowser JR is the one to stop Eggman. Bowser JR is the one who breaks the Eggmobile, Transmutes the Death Egg and even the laser gun. Also note right before the blast of energy ALL of Eggman's Army retreats and thus is blasted by the splash of energy that Bowser doesn't block. If they remained in position they could have swarmed Bowser's bones preventing a resurrection.

Honestly, the Chaos Emeralds' ability to give thoughts power sounds like Bowser's innate magical ability to make what he imagines happen. He already has something that others need those Emeralds for. And there's also the fact that the Koopa Troop has a greater number of experienced heavies than the Eggman Empire does (Jr., Kamek, King Boo, the seven Koopalings, maybe the Elite Trio, and others, versus Metal Sonic, Sage, maybe Orbot and Cubot).

Eggman should be able to do anything that kamek can do. In the Sonic Shuffle games (Sonic Mario Party) he can do anything that kamek can do. They also killed Infinite too quick, with too much ease. In the end I thing Bowser still wins this war, but it should have been way closer.

I'm surprised they even brought up the super eggman form thing. The animation for the deathbattle was being worked on before the form was in the comics so that's the main reason why it wasn't in the animation. Since it was too new for them to include in the episode, maybe they should have left it to a black box mentioned it in the conclusion and saying that because the episode was too far into development they couldn't include it in the research. Not that it'd really make much of a difference in the end.

Yeah, Bowser and his army is more likely to win cause they're simply better in more areas across the board. In fact, the Emeralds and plenty of other things can honestly get taken away from Eggman due to many different characters on Bowser's side. It's why they even showed "Super Eggman" being turned into a Goomba in an alternate scenario. In fact, the Wonder Flower and Dream Stone are basically on par with some of Ultra Sonic's (stronger than Hyper Sonic) abilities.

​@undeadlink8623 it was pretty reasonable for the time, they still scaled reasonably by including Culex and Dark Gaia scaling in the black boxes, they just didn't do the grand star or chaos emerald scaling yet. It's certainly way less cringe than capping Thanos at only Galaxy or Sun level when he beat 4 marvel super heavy hitters by himself without the gauntlet. The episode is still REALLY good regardless.

But i 100% agree that the Thanos fight was BS.

You're forgetting about the popup box regarding the Pure Hearts, which is true. The Pure Hearts are specifically designed to destroy chaotic energy (as seen with the Chaos Heart and the Void, both of which were threats of destruction to the entire Mario multiverse), and restore even already destroyed universes, which the Power & Grand Stars can already do too since those are pretty much grown up Lumas.

Lets run down this little list of yours, shall we? 1 - Infinite got Outplayed. He increased gravity with the ruby, and King Boo countered with something that exclusively attacks using gravity. That is why he was taken out so fast, he wasn't done dirty. He literally got hit with what would have otherwise probably been a normal attack, but he was increasing gravity so severely that he basically accelerated that thwomp to hundreds of times faster than it otherwise could manage, thus enabling it to be capable of taking him out of the fight. Additionally, They never said the ruby illusions are mind control, they said they affect your _Perception,_ meaning it makes both your mind and body think you've been injured, which causes your body to react as if you are injured even if you aren't. Bowser, on the other hand, can literally just rewrite reality to make it so you were always injured, without any perception tricks required, using the Wonder Flower. 2 - Where was the Master Emerald? That's easy. The Chaos Emeralds were down on the field, so take a guess what Eggman Superweapon would be using the master emerald to power itself. A certain orbital base with a massive death laser. Sage bringing the emeralds there later was to give it some extra kick (which is a thing that can be done), but if its not in play on the battlefield, it's in the only place it would otherwise make sense, powering the Death Egg, since it needs _something_ powering it and the chaos emeralds are, again, in use on the battlefield. 3 - I'll give you this one, they didn't really give Eggman many of his Mechs, but realistically most of his Mechs are outmatched by Bowser. Still would have liked to see a few more of them in some fashion, but sometimes its hard to fit everything you want into an animation, especially one as busy as this one. 4 - Super Neo Metal Sonic is generally (key word, _Generally,_ as in not always but for this kind of situation he is) a stronger, and more accessible, form than Metal Overlord and, more importantly, _More Controllable._ Eggman wants to _Win_ the battle, not just kill Bowser. Bringing out Metal Overlord would literally just cause another Eggman vs Wily scenario where Metal goes berserk and just kills everyone.

@@TheMongral And this is assuming Metal Overlord can actually match up to either Fury Bowser, or his massive blast that he unleashed using the Grand Star's power. Don't get me wrong, Metal Overlord was very strong, to the point it took most of the Sonic cast teaming up, and Team Sonic powered up by the emeralds to defeat him, but he would have a problem matching up to someone like the Fury Bowser, who also could only be defeated using a super powered form in his debut game (The Super Cat Mario that he got after gathering however many Cat Shines he needed), with most of its attacks. At best, Overlord could maybe use Chaos Control to try and get some chip damage in with crystals and other ranged attacks it has. Unfortunately, nothing in Overlord's arsenal would be able to counter the grand star powered fire breath, something even Super Neo Metal failed to counter, likely because he ran out of time he could spend in his super form. I feel like once that attack was brought out, Overlord would get cut in half on the spot. So I'd say Super Neo Metal was definitely a better choice for Metal's final form for this fight.

Buddy, this is a fictional matchup. Calling it debunked like you're Mythbusters doing real science is silly. As far as I'm concerned cannot "debunk" this anymore you can debunk fanfiction. Infinite does infinite dirty. As far as I'm aware, him showing up to do one cool thing and then dying is perfectly in character. Bowser and his koopas not only had every tool to win in a way that doesn't feel like it's BS, but it makes more narrative sense for the good king to defeat the petty tyrant. That's ultimately what really matters for me with these matchups. You can bring up all the numbers and fancy nonsensical powerscaling logic you want, and I just don't care.

@@TheMongral to add to the third point, as they said, a lot of the mechs are situational and cannot be used fully. Like Eggman’s Dark Gaia Mech that required a SHIT TON of work to make. And to add to your fourth point, keep in mind, Metal Overlord would have to consume EGGMAN’S WHOLE ARMY. And once it does that, King Boo teleports him to the alternate dimensions he can create and the beastial Metal Overlord would be trapped in another Dimension with nothing he can do while Bowser and his troops kill Eggman. Than Overlord gets overpowered or wished out of existence, or turned into a block, or Bowser uses transmutation magic and reverts him to normal Metal Sonic and crushes him like a beer can.

People really just go based off of reputation when it comes to the Chaos Emeralds from Sonic. Super Forms are NOT invincible. Characters have been beaten out of their Super Forms MULTIPLE times throughout the years. A Super Form is extremely powerful absolutely, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not IMPOSSIBLE to overpower. (Even then, one could also argue that Metal didn’t get overpowered, but his Super Form just ran out. Bowser’s Star also ran out, so it’s not like those forms were permanent for either side.)

Super Sonic (And other Super Forms) have never entirely been "unstoppable". Even in recent years, Super Sonic still faces foes whom he can't just blitz through. If Super Forms were really an end all be all, a lot of the big enemies Sonic's faced over the years (From Chaos to Time Eater to Dark Gaia to The Titans) would've been absolutely destroyed. Yet repeatedly over the years we've been shown that they are not unstoppable. Knuckles punched the Emeralds out of Sonic while he was in his Super Form, Sonic had the Super Form forcefully deactivated by Eggman at the start of (I believe Unleashed? Whatever the one with the Werehog was and Dark Gaia), METAL SONIC had his Super Form deactivated by Shadow when Shadow hit him with a Chaos Spear.
