I met skinnyman in 2004.he was doing a show in belfast, he was at tje weed spot on his own, i was skateboarding there, he said i was good on my board, such a down to earth guy. I love him.

Keep talking Jeff, we're all so different but live in a world where our troubles are so similar. There's a lot of people going through what you are, You're an extra step ahead of a lot of people by putting yourself out there to the world like this though. Just uploading videos and sending them out to an audience is commendable by a lot of people ! You show nothing but positivity and a want to do better all the time, you're honest and hard on yourself about mistakes from now *and* from the past.. I'm usually the kind of person afraid to say the words "spiritual" or "journey" but recently I feel like we're all on one and the people who become aware of it sooner will learn the most and become the best they can be.. You seem to be one of those people who truly and constantly look to find your own flaws (maybe too much) and seek lessons from others flaws in life. No matter how little you have you'd share or give it to someone around you with less. You're just... good, and we see it because we are too ! We relate and thank god Hip Hop is here to allow us all to connect and do so ! 🙏

I'm glad you got clean. I'm 25 years clean off the lady that skinny talks about in another song. Skinny could have been massive but got disillusioned because his record label - run by a friend - ripped him off. This album was the hottest thing in London at the time, sold 100000s and he got nothing. Even today, the record label gets all the Spotify / etc royalties. The guy - Braintax - left the UK and disappeared so Skinny can't do anything about it.

similar experiences & thoughts as you man, I think you/we feel more comfortable in a shitty environment because it's been what you've known for too long & your brain has programmed itself to always be waiting for the next bad thing or evil person to protect you from. if you're like me, being praised for anything is hardd to accept & kinda feels disingenuous to yourself because you've been shit on & put down so much that it feels normal now. your (my) aggression comes from your fight or flight instinct always being stuck on fight i think. somewhere in the back of your head there's a voice telling you that you can't be vulnerable again. i've kinda learnt it doesn't mean you're an aggressive or bad person, but normality doesn't feel normal, so you try to fight it. trying to accept that i'm not in the same place i was, that not everyone is going to treat you how you've mostly been treated. try to see the light in the world & remember that today is not yesterday or any of the shit before it. you might not always recieve it back, but putting love & kindness out into the world will always ultimately feel better & make your world a better place. in the words of jafro "if you don't like suttin get to changin it" haha. you're doing great bro & fuck the past, you're still alive to manifest your future however you fucking want it if you want it enough. just do you. it's a fuckin longg road man but it can be a beautiful one ✊🏻 (this ended up being way too long 😂) biggg up as always jeff 🙌🏻
