Chris, with all due respect and genuine curiosity: how do you discern that this/these kind of experiences are actually the real Jesus Christ and not a familiar spirit playing tricks?

“Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ When something genuinely comes from God it will glorify Jesus Christ. When Jesus Christ is truly perceived by the Holy Spirit it is absolutely undeniable. Without a question Jesus is known. Secondly, we discern by the fruit of the Holy Spirit. When I encountered God in this manner the fruit in my life was: 1. Greater hunger for seeking God’s presence 2. Greater awareness of purity & holiness 3. Greater hatred for sin and worldly indulgences 4. Greater hunger to know the word of God 5. Greater love for Jesus & His word A familiar spirit will not seek to glorify Christ neither will produce a desire and reverence for Christ & his word. Demons will not make you love Jesus & God’s word. It’s just that simple from my perspective. I experienced this 16 years ago. And the fruit of that encounter with God is still very much evident in my life. This was as real as real can be & I never experienced anything like to that degree & magnitude since. I remember it like it was last night.
