Suga in Cypher III said Agust D is his second name. On Jimmy Fallon he said you can call me Suga or Agust D or Yoongi, whatever you want. I think some ARMYs remember a day several years ago when certain aggressive ARMYs were taking liberties with the Agust D moniker attributing everything he was doing from producing, to collaborating with other artists, to rapping and writing in BTS, to writing and producing for other artists as being a distinct human being called Agust D. At that time Agust D more correctly was an alternate persona used to express personal thoughts and emotions in tracks distinct from his contributions to BTS. The marketing of Suga as just Agust D seemed to diminish the diverse highly creative man by pigeonholing him into what as of 2025 is a persona used in 30 tracks when he is a man involved with hundreds of creations. I think that is why many deeper thinking ARMYs feel Min Yoongi needs to be seen as an amazing artist who has a noteworthy collection of songs deemed Agust D works while recognizing his catalog of creations was largely created outside that persona.

It's amazing about over hearing something and dismissing it then really listening to it and going wow. The choreography in this gets me every time especially the legs going left and right whilst the head is doing a square isolation. This is the equivalent of patting your head and rubbing your stomach. Dare I say it - FIRE! I don't know how many times I've watched this and live performances just for the choreography. Oh and of course Suga's/Yoongi/Augst D's classic intro and ending. Yes, there are Behind the Scenes videos for a lot of them. In this one they all go "Woah!" when that car comes down. Suga is Suga in BTS, and he's really kind and cute with a dry sense of humor - his emoji is kitten. Then he gets to killer rap and is Agust D. Yoongi is his real name. When you reach the point of watching their variety shows and travel, they call each other by real names or more personal names. I really like your perspective from having spent time in Korea. As for Fire, when the president imposed martial law recently and the citizens were so angry, they sang Fire!

Don't worry too much about not recognizing their faces right away, it's only been a few weeks 😄it'll come with time. You are also watching from different time periods, so their features have matured as they grew up. What might help is watching some of their solo work. You recognize Yoongi pretty easily probably because you saw his solo mvs and so you were able to focus on him by himself. Also, I don't think it matters what you call Yoongi, he's stated that you can call him any of his names. For me I tend to refer to him by whatever name I think suits how he is presenting himself at the time. When hanging out with the guys I think of him as Yoongi because that's what they usually call him, when he's performing with BTS I think of him as Suga until he does some hard-hitting raps and then it's Agust D in the house 😂

I always enjoy your videos. Fire addresses issues with Korean youth who have struggled a lot under parental expectations and social pressure. Korea has the highest teen suicide rate in the world and little has been done to address this issue. Much of what BTS writes has to do with this issue regarding the struggles of youth. It evolved into songs about self-love and some of their own emotional struggles are woven into the lyrics. I’m going to outside the box and recommend House of Cards as your next watch. There is a live version that does a mix of performances put out by an ARMY. It’s a vocal line only song. Then I would recommend the Agust-D trilogy starting with Daichwita. Anpanman is also great and there are live versions of this as well. One performance in Japan at an award show that caused light sticks to be banned afterwards. 😅😅😅😅

So if you want to recognize them, maybe you can do one or two solo songs for each of them, this way even if they change their look, you most likely will know their voices better. About "they make arson look fun", well J Hope (first one rapping, you kind of recognized him) has a solo song called Arson. First one you see, that sets up that guy on fire, is Agust D 😁 (call him however you want, I think most people just wanted to let you know that it's not common but it's his stage name too ). Also Agust D with "I'll forgive you" at the end 🤣. These first/last lines are iconic for this song. This song goes so crazy in live performances/ concerts, and the choreography is amazing. Jungpookie 😂 was on the bike at the beginning. They were young in this MV, don't worry, it will come in time. Most of us knew them faster because we also watched interviews, variety shows, behind the scenes, their many many livestreams, so it's different than the fast moving music videos.

Back in your early videos I recommended you try Dreamcatcher. They are a girl group and do rock fusion music. Very unique in the sphere of kpop especially for a girl group. Dreamcatcher are the only other kpop group I enjoy listening to besides BTS. Do give them a try please Jiro.

I think you will like their live performances. There is a youtube channel, Enjoy BTS more, that has many performances with english subtitles. She edits everything in a way that it won't cause issues on youtube (some concert clips can be blocked if there are just straight from DVD concerts- which are paid content). So you are pretty safe to go on that channel, also what you find on Bangtan TV is ok, but not with english subs all the time. They may have korean subs tho, I suppose that will work for you too.
