Cole Swindell has such an interesting way that he became a singer... he was originally Luke Bryan's merchandise guy for 3 years, and wrote songs on the road. Him breaking down isn't acting, that was legitimately the first time he went to his dad's grave.

That's an awesome story, I had no idea about him being Luke Bryan's merchandise guy. So cool!

I cry every time I watch this. His dad was killed about a month after that phone call. He was working on a car and it fell on him. Cole was so upset at the cemetery that his brothers went to comfort him.

Cole's "Dads old number" is another song that hits hard.

The last scene in this video was actually the first time he visited his dad’s grave since the funeral so all of that emotion was 100% real. Love him and love this song!! Thank you for reacting to it…you are amazing and my absolute favorite!!

He's from the same town I grew up in. His dad died three months after he signed his record deal. I never knew Cole, but I was a couple of years behind his brother Jay in school. Those are his brothers with him at their dad's grave. And as many commented, that was the first time he had been back since the funeral.

It’s the bitter and sweet that is life’s journey, right? There’s always a little bit of both the longer it goes on. But to have had those people and their love is a blessing even if the loss is heartbreaking.

The part of the video where all his family run out to greet him was all real. So was the ending in the cemetery. Such a beautiful song. I’m so glad you reacted to this Craig. Such a beautiful heartfelt reaction. When you started crying that just broke me. Losing people we love is incredibly difficult ❤️

He also has a song called Dad's Old Number that's just as sad as this one. But I still recommend listening to it. He has a song with Dierks Bentley called Heart Stopper that is a fun song to listen to.

I've watched lots of these reactions to Cole's song. The video was all real life emotions that can't help but effect a person that loves their dad, nothing wrong with that, just shows how much love there is out there. Thanks for your reaction, God Bless!

A hard song to listen to and the video of his genuine feelings at the grave site just tops it off. Unfortunately, his mom also died in 2021. The song speaks to me on a personal level as well. I have had those thoughts over the years as well since my mom died.

Love this song, it was one of it not his first big song. Its a "stab you in the heart" every time kind of video. I knew when I saw the title this one was going to get you Craig. Luckily he has a big family to support him and he's a really great guy, has a great voice. Enjoyed it! ❤️ BTW Pentatonix released their cover of "Kiss From a Rose" a couple of weeks ago and a couple of new Cmas songs, you should check out "Kiss From a Rose" its sick!!!

You should definitely check out coles song dad's old number, it's so good and kinda represents how his life (actually most people) is after a parent passing away. At least that's how I interpret it

His dad died in a terrible accident about it 2 months after we see Cole speaking with his dad at the beginning of the video, telling him he’d just signed the deal. This video shows his first time back at the cemetery since his dad died. Similar story with my mom. They had lived 500 miles away for 22 years and were moving back home after she retired. The weekend of the move she has a botched cardiac catheterization procedure and she never made it back home. This video/song knocks the wind out of me every time.

Cole is from a small town just a town over from where I live...I live in Leesburg, Ga. where Luke Bryan is from. LOVE that he used his small town for this video! The visit to the graveside is his actual visit!! SO EMOTIONAL!! 😢

This song hits me so hard. I lost my father during my Senior Year of high school. I was 18 then. I’m 44 now. But losing my dad so early (he was 40) cut so deeply. He missed my graduation, me joining the military like he did, get married and have a life. This song is hard, it still brings tears to my eyes, but I still listen to it. I am my fathers legacy, and I pray I make him proud. God bless brother.

My daughter lost her dad ( my husband) to colon cancer when she was 10. When she got married she played this song and danced with her uncles for the father daughter dance. 4 years ago. Now her husband passed away from pancreatic cancer. This November.

If you think he sounds like Luke Bryan it's because i think he wrote a few song's for Luke before he got his on contact. They both went to college at Georgia Southern.
