They more so watch your vehicle because theft is very high! All the houses have tall gates some, electrified. If you live your car unattended someone will break in and steel the radio etc... it's said but it's kind of like that in New York in regards to bikes being stolen. Also home invasions happen frequently, this is why the the 'Blade Runner' Olympic athlete guy got off easy with his 'excuse' for shooting his gf.
