The reason why Jack couldn't get Akinator to guess himself is because basically the developers coded him in a specific way were even if people try to make him guess himself he will automatically guess a character related to him instead of himself, the closest character we currently have is Akinators evil twin and the only guesses on Akinator himself are from the developers, so basically in short: Jack tried an impossible challenge at the start and blamed it on himself.

I’m pretty sure akinator wouldn’t “know he has a son” since that character was created by the ppl who played akinator. And most people don’t know that even so they would say no when trying to make him guess akinator. Either way though you’re right that he should have used the don’t know button quite a lot
