Worst is a massive understatement. It completely changed the game and not in a good way. This update is why tiers 8-10 are now flooded with 500 battles played, 41% goofs that clearly have no idea what they're doing.

Cant forget the duck amx 40 that was a armored beast. The toaster, kv1s, the autoloader a-20, man so many legendary tanks gone.... so sad. Being back the original dev team!!

Not only did they remove tanks but a tons of guns. The ones that made different tanks unique. Remember when the tier 5 Leopard had a single shoot gun? Or the Stug its 10,5cm derpgun and a lot more. To top it off they didn't keep the different modules for the old tech tree tanks when they became Collectors, they purposely put the worst possible choices to many of them to force old players not to play them. Back than players had to learn how to avoid derp guns or they get punished for it. I've seen new players just walk in front of my Kv 2 then complain they get killed....

5.5 tanked player skill so much, people played lines adter it all the same because they didnt have to go through the low tiers that forced different playstyles. The update that stopped me playing was a while after they merged the EU and CIS servers, pretty much destroyed the game for me, removed chat because of them and players just lost all braincells.

It just baffles me that WG are actively trying to impliment Bots for newbies to learn how to play the game, but also reward them with Tier 8 collector / premium tanks that removes them from bot mm. Have seen a rise in the number of inexperienved players in games with < 100 games. That's biggest issue with mm today. WG can dumb the game down for new players, but the result is worse players contributing to worse games. UE 5 won't fix that. The lower tiers need a serious restoration to Pre 5.5. They are due to nerf the Keni Otsu so maybe the needed change is coming to the low tiers.

It really was a different game. Tiers 1-5 were instant que with all human players and although you still have some bad battles, it just happens, they were at least because people were learning at the same level. Now people get pushed through the low levels playing WG bots (once watched two KV-1 bots sit 15M apart bouncing shot after shot off of each other's fronts) that really doesn't help anyone learn anything. I've seen WG bots that make no effort to stop the cap in a match. Again, new players see this kind of thing and think it's the norm, don't grasp that the screwy AI in this game is designed to be bad to give them incentive to play more, not teach them.

Before this bullshit update my favourite tank by far was the T-46 that auto loader gun was crazy but then 5.5 came and WG just removed half the techtree at the time so i just deleted the game 😭

Good summary on how they screwed up the game. The removal of APCR & HE was detrimental for newer players to learn the differences in ammo types.

I remember they removed all these tanks as well as a bunch of fun modules for “simplicity”. This included the 105 off the heater (and T82) + M46 Patton + vk36 + panther and many more… but we all know it was for future money laundering… why? Because the people who were confused how to play a Heavy at tier 4 are now the confused player at tier 6 and starts to ruin higher tier teams. Removing the fun guns makes it harder to enjoy tanks that typically are outshined or not typically as fun as the other tanks. They removed low tier HE shells too because the good players would play low tiers to abuse bad players and do tons of damage often…. My take: these changes NEVER should’ve happened, and the players that advocated for the game because they sucked should’ve stayed in Clash of Clans…

I had just gotten the kv-13 before the update. Got to play it a couple games before the update. After 5.5 WG just took it and I didn’t even get good for it. Hat to buy it back for double a few months ago.

i actually went to the wg support and asked them if they could at least do some tab in the store with those tanks like the collector tanks on pc which are also the tanks originaly from tech tree and they said the removed tanks are removed and wont be available for purchase which made me sad :(

Hi Eco the lucky 8s are out that upgrade to the next tier if you already have that tank. Its 13$ can. I forget what the tier 8 was it was. an American not super Pershing. But China has the same one. Then I got obj752 Then Badger. In the end 7.5k gold. For a vet like me it's always worth trying. I agree with the video. Back then, I unlocked every tech tree tank until tier 5 before moving up. DW 2 back in the day was op. And aiming was ridiculous, remember just point in general direction lol rarely miss. So yea, I prefer prior 5.5 because you could really learn the different playstyles. Anyways have a great day.

The great nerfing of 5.5 ruined the game, forcing all players to move up tiers to play or wait over 10 minutes for a tier 4 game. I loved many of the tier 1-5 tanks but it's impossible to play them now. Also, many tanks were lost or heavily nerfed

I miss my R35. Driving into hordes of enemy tanks while hearing the armor work and with that 6 shooter was fun, and the Pz 38 na was also amazing. 5.5 sucks because it removed a lot of tanks that would teach newbies how the line is supposed to be played, so now they only learn when they reach tier 6-7. It also killed low tier variety, and now low tiers are almost the same. Basically same DPM, no armor, meh mobility. Always the same. The old collector tanks mostly suffer from lack of pen. There's a few gems here and there, but most of them get smacked by tech tree tanks (mainly the M5, Pz III and the M7) If I had to guess as to why they did all of this, it's to allow more newbies to stay in the game, because pre 5.5 you had to deal with seal clubbers, but making low tiers boring and without variety discourages seal clubbing. Also Economics please for your own mental sanity turn off music, I don't understand how you are able to hear the deadmau5 music repeat 😭
