There's an alternative cutscene when starting the torture mission where Trevor takes a "number 2" behind some bins while waiting for Michael. If you had seen that I bet you would have died laughing.

I watched a licensed therapist play this game. He made a tremendous point about why Steve is so terrifying: he is in a position of power as a senior agent of the FIB. He has so much power and he abuses it. He literally is told that the person they think is their target isn’t their target and his response is “eh, kill him anyway.” Mr. K says repeatedly “I’ve been ready to talk this whole time” but he still faces torture. Steve is frustrated by the lack of progress so his solution is “just bomb the beach”

@@Ryan707_-_ Yes but you have way less control over the car and you can't feel the road and what the car is doing. That's why driving in real life is easier, you have much better and more precise control over the car and you can actually feel the road, the suspension and the tires so you can anticipate much better. Also I'm actually a better driver in real life than I am in GTA because GTA V feels so fake, like an arcade, it doesn't really translate and the physics make no sense. Like you're on an alien planet where the laws of physics suddenly don't apply. You don't even have to use your brakes 90% of the time in GTA V. GTA IV felt a lot better and translated better, it wasn't perfect at all but it actually felt intuitive and made sense. Sorry if that was too much of a rant for you lol.

MAKE SURE that when you pick someone up, that you take them to the Altruist Cult. You need to take a minimum number there to trigger the Altruist Cult event. DON'T take them home (the yellow path on the mini map). Instead, pause and set a waypoint to the Altruist Cult. It only works with Trevor. Also I strongly recommend that you pick up the habit of very frequently quick-saving using the characters' phones. If any of them get killed, just load the last save file and you won't lose $5,000. Great reaction again as always.

55:00 the interesting and terrifying thing about Trevor, is that he's extremely capable and clever. He pulled off an insane heist with a skeleton crew, here. The only issue is that because he has no regard for danger, he didn't think about the repercussions of being internationally hunted for (nuclear?) weapons trading was a bad trade. Everyone else values their lives and futures a lot more, obviously 😂 but Trevor's got a bit of a death wish. He was absolutely willing to do that for a bunch of money and the thrill of the game. And he did it. Terrifying man. Love this game.

You can't rob clothing stores, but the little gas station convenience stores can be robbed. You can also buy food there too, which can help your health, if your character's health is low.

Yet another good one! A couple of things I thought I throw out: after every mission you can hit square and it will show all the optional objectives you can do, and the other is you can buy body armor which might help in the missions. But great stuff as always!

You can hold up a store if you stand out of the shop and point a weapon at the cashier, for regular stores you have to shoot the cash register to get the money but there are some 24/7 stores scattered around the map, some are at gas stations others are in a random location, they are not marked on the map but if you find them you can rob the place by pointing the weapon and the cashier in these stores will actually put money in a bag and drop it for you

I'm just curious because although I think they probably should have had an option to skip it, I do also feel you're blasting police officers in the face, dragging people out of cars, running them over which might not seem too bad but that's a lot of blunt force trauma. As lot of broken bones and internal bleeding. So I'm just wondering where the line is? It's not a criticism or anything, I'm just curious about the difference in perspective

The torture scene was to show the lengths the FIB and government will go to get what the information that they need, they saw Mr K as a threat and treated him as such and we know Steve Haines is a asshole, it was a commentary on it so it was there to show that torture is used by those in power to justify their actions to say it was to prevent this or that which Trevor talked about while driving Mr K to the airport albeit in a satire silly manner but I got what he was saying, GTA 5 would’ve benefited if it had a bit more of the GTA 4 seriousness to some extent with certain scenes.

Miranda when you’re doing stealth you have to pay attention to your minimap. You can see if you’re making a lot of noise and see the direction the enemy is looking. The reason you couldn’t zoom in is because you weren’t holding down Left Trigger. Also you can just place a sticky bomb on the back of the armoured money trucks and blow it up. And if you love the satire of GTA, wait until you watch the TV shows/commercials. 😂

The genius behind the torture scene can only be appreciated in its proper context: For years, the media have used Rockstar and the games they make as punching bags for society's woes. Every time some kid took a bang-bang to school, GTA and other games like it were to blame; some media and even prominant pundits called Rockstar's games "murder-simulators" that only deadened the nerves of those who played the games turning them into monsters. Fast forward to the release of GTAV in 2013, and before the game was out a week dozens upon dozens of articles and even television news segments came out lamenting this particular portion of the game, saying things like "it made me sick". That was the entire point. Performing torture in a game didn't suddenly make you want to torture anyone in real life, just like running over pedestrians in GTA or headshotting your friends in CoD didn't either. Rockstar completely flipped the narrative on it's head: in their game you do bad things, and opposed to the dog$^#@ narrative we've had to endure for decades, they made you FEEL BAD ABOUT IT. Oh, and before I forget, screw Jack Thompson.

And the fact that you don't actually have to do anything to the poor guy. Between this and the infamous "No Russian" mission in Modern Warfare 2 where you don't have to shoot a single person. If you torture the guy or shoot the people in the airport, it's because YOU CHOOSE TO, not as a requirement of the mission.

Hi Miranda, I am a huge fan seeing you play GTA V story mode. Can i give you a little advice seeing your poor driving skills. If you go to settings during the game , there is camera hight that you can adjust from low(like it is now) to high. That will improve your sight while driving. Also on the d-pad on your controller , you can adjust the camera distance, make sure you put it on furtest position. This will improve your driving and reaction time seeing things better. Go kick ass

I'm not sure if you noticed, but right next to the airport there is a black ramp that you can drive full speed on and launch yourself. It works better with a car or a motorcycle.

Touch pad on controller allows you to zoom into any vehicle so you can see the interior and passengers in the vehicles. Also gives you first person when on foot. 😁👍
