In This video I demonstrate a simple way to understand the importance of tonal values in landscape painting.
Using the "wrong" colours to paint a watercolour landscape, but making sure the values are correct, will still result in a painting with depth and distance.
It's a nice easy exercise, that will help you to improve your own work.

Thanks !! The reason for the demonstration was to highlight the fact that colour isn’t the most important factor in a painting. That said, I suppose it does explain the original series of Star Trek 😄😊

Really lovely way you present your artwork, very clear and helpful, I’m going to buy a hake brush and try to use wet in wet like in your video.. iv started with watercolour about a year ago and love it although my style is completely different to yours lol.. iv got along way to go 🤗👍
