Born in 1956, I remember fall actually came in September. Snow was on the ground by Thanksgiving. Not much question of white Christmas in southern Iowa, but that changed. Really would like to see the seasons return to normal.

No one complains about heat in the winter or cold in the summer. El Nino brings drier weather with more extreme summer highs and winter lows. How many that are upset with the summer heat will be just as upset with the winter cold?

Excellent point. It is the extremes that make it so bad. Triple digits in the summer and 20's and below in the winter. Gets miserable after awhile 😫😫😫.

Waiting for the cooler weather, we had a "cold" front only going to be in the 90s this week. We broke an all time high temperature here last week, hit 113, broke records back to 1880s.

It’s always exciting starting to see the tornado line kick back up and moving south. That, and some of the first snows of the season in the higher elevations, is a sure sign that the fronts are beginning their decent in latitude for cooler days in the dirty south. 😊

If you don't think climate change and global warning is real, in the north west of Australia this week the temperature soared to 107°F (42°C) ths week. This is just insane! Australia is technically still in winter but spring has arrived several weeks early, sending temperatures skyrocketing in the northern half of the country. Even in the nornally colder southern states the temperatures are well above te average for this time of the year. Sadly, the ski season has all but come to an end here. There is a small chance winter and spring snow may make a brief come back in Septermber, which sometimes happens, but it is looking unlikely. Nevertheless, whilst the warmer weather has arrived early, it does not mean summer will be off the charts as far as temperatures go. If the predictions of a La NIna are right, summer in Australia cooler and/or wetter, depending on where you are. I bloody hope so!
