I’m expecting between 170 - 210 SPX points for next week. Trading Levels should be between 5300 - 5500. But if 5300 gets taken out solidly, then all bets are off to buy at 5300 as 5220 will come into play next week. There are many large gamma levels below us. We don’t know which one will trigger a huge slide until after the fact. That’s why they describe trading as “Price discovery” process.

what is he really saying, that in the event the CPI print is higher than estimate, then the market should see that as a positive thing so less likely of a 50bps hike? I'm starting to think market will perceive slight uptick in inflation is a good thing to ward off the narrative that recession is coming to USA

With oil below $70 no one cares about inflation. The rate of cuts is solely being determined by jobs data which currently only justifies a 25bp cut.

I don't think many ppl even look at the fact that most stocks in this market are actually down and that the s&p is narrowly weighted towards a few big names in AI sector which artificially inflates its value. And yet people are still saying a crash is coming. It has been happening for a while. The recession fears caused investors to flee most stocks except nvidia, Apple, meta, etc. I'd anything, the overvalued stocks will fall and we will slowly see a broadening of market....but this will take some time as the market has been fearful or risk averse fot a long time. Ever since late 2021 and covid.

Market is starting to price in the possibility of an extremely unfriendly progressive economic policy, the market sentiment shifted as soon as the legacy media went all in on Kamala the savior of democracy. Capital gains tax, higher corporate taxes and price controls. People are taking their money our of stocks until they know they wont get taxed into oblivion
