Thanks Lisa, for this lovely vlog with very interesting news and great views of all the boats that are now on The Broads. Some people on the slightly taller cruisers don't realise that they need to drop their canopy's before they get to low bridges such as Ludham Bridge so when they get there have to suddenly back off and then getting snatched by the wind. It's all good fun and part of the learning curve but don't hang onto ropes in these situations. As they say, "every day is a school day" when boating on The Broads. It was great to see so many boats but all those sail boats out so early and in a wind storm was terrific. I hope that you are doing well. Take care and all the best. Stevie

Thank you Stevie, I’m very well thank you. Hope you are too. I’ve filmed more sailing boats for Friday’s video. Spoilt for choice at the moment. It’s still very busy out on the water, hardly surprising as it felt like summer today. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. 👋🏻

We were away that week with our family, daughters birthday celebration, in Southwold which was lovely. Knowing I was so close to the broads was difficult though 😅. Lovely catch up, wasn’t it windy though, we had seagulls flying backwards 😳 😂

I’m not surprised the gulls were flying backwards during storm Kathleen 😂. Southwold is beautiful. I like the Harbour area and the ferry across to Walberswick.

This isn't an unkind comment, but the pulling on the rope at 5:07 is highly dangerous and if there is only one lesson here, use the posts and let go when the rope is under strain. Far too many people get pulled into the water unintentionally in circumstances like this and we have already seen a number of incidents on the Broads this year and it is only April. Please do not try to hold on to a boat with a rope like this, at the very least you will get rope burns! As for the water quality - well I have already commented on one outflow near Norwich that hasn't stopped discharging lovely smelling frothy stuff for several years!

@@NewnameSameme hi Lisa, one of our subscribers told us they had passed a sunken boat. I didn’t know it was one of hunters. That would have been terrifying. The last time we hired a half decker it was really windy and we were warned it could go over. That put Wendy off so much I don’t think we could go out in a strong wind again. Stick to the coffee and cake is the answer. Just relax 🥰😍❤️😘👍

Thank you Gordon. It’s the people who helped the cruisers when they got into difficulties that are the kind ones. All they wanted to do was go under the bridge but the wind and tide had other ideas. I used to think I’d like to have my own boat one day. After what I see on a weekly basis, I’ll stick to being on land. Hats off to those who make it look so easy. 🙌🛥️⛵️

Such strong winds at Ludham. Must be frightening for any inexperienced holiday maker on the water. Coffee and cake AGAIN? Poor Judith having to stay in a tent when it is so windy! Hope she got some sleep. From what I have read there is such a high bacteria level in most of the rivers in the UK due to bad practices by the water companies. I shall eagerly await to hear more news on your podcast. Never doubt yourself Leasa. It will be fine. You have such a lovely voice to listen to. Take care and enjoy the weekend as the weather is looking good.
