I cannot begin to express how WONDERFUL it feels to be healed enough that I love my life without him in it now. I'm sincerely happy that he is long gone, out of my life, and I don't have to see his face, or hear his loud mouth obnoxious voice ever again. The ruminating seems to be gone. And, I feel like the trauma bond is finally broken, and over. I really don't have any feelings for him at all anymore. I honestly believe that I am finally reaching the point of indifference where if I were to see him now I wouldn't feel anything. Just a whole lot of nothing is all I feel for him now. That is all... Damn, this feels good!

It took me 2 plus years and I thought I would never heal. Right now, I wish I could send him a thank you note for leaving. It was painful but when the healing finally came, I found myself happier and more confident than I ever was. Financially I am doing better and I have so much peace! But it was hell for over 2 years. It took me years to walk away. It's very tough when you are in a trauma bond with that narcissist. Whenever I used to walk away, he knew I would go back to him when he love bombed again n again. This took years of suffering finally realising my worth. Now I finally discarded that narcissist n never looking back. He knows what he has lost. Wow!! Demonic Intel!!!! YESSSSS. I had a “flirttionship” (basically a texting love-bomb relationship) with a Narc this past summer and I am so glad that I ended it before I got to deeply involved. I can laugh now because it was a long distance relationship and we literally live 20-30 minutes away from each other. But he would text love bomb me daily and yet would never plan for us to see each other. So I ended and yes he came back a month later with text love bombing me. No, I didn't know what the devaluing was, but I knew exactly what disrespect was, and I wasnt having it. I discarded him within 3 weeks of planning and moving quietly and strategically. The real issue is don’t confuse ego with narcissism. Ego is based on confidence in talent or abilities that can be proven or showcased a narcissist knows they have nothing to offer deep down but rely on vanity and typically envy the one with ego or confidence. There’s a lot of people in these comments claiming they left a narcissist when in all actuality they themselves are the narcissist as the west is littered with average people full of themselves.
