I was dating a chick in the eighth grade and her mom walked in and snapped the cd when we were playing this song. She had never been so embarrassed in her entire life and that is when I fell in love with rap music. Once I know how much the adults hated it, I knew it was for me.

36-24-36 are the perfect measurements for a woman. 36" breasts, 24" waist, 36" hips. That's an expression we used to describe a perfect body.

The Commodores mentioned these same dimensions in their smash hit "Brick House". In essence, that song was the 70s version of Baby Got Back. The entire song is about a woman's figure. LOL. You ought to react to that one and do a comparison.

This song won a Grammy for Best New Artist Of The Year. My girlfriend was a Model on the video and toured with Mix A Lot. The beat in the back comes from a song called, "Technicolor" by Channel One. Nicki Minaj sampled the same song in "Anaconda." She made a continuation from this song. Please listen to "Technicolor." The music was definitely before it's time. You wouldn't believe it was released 35 years ago.

Yes, we seem to be the last generation that can hold two thoughts in our heads--actual sexism is bad, and this song is fire, as the kids say. To those who think this song is sexist, go to a party where women over 40 have been drinking, play this song, and see how they react.
