Wait. What are you talking about at 6:21? The 737 MAX 10 does NOT have a longer ranger than the XLR. It's not even close to the XLR. The MAX 10 has less range than the MAX 9, but compared to the XLR, the MAX 10 has 1,600nmi LESS range

The 757 no longer needs a follow up, you can clearly see that with the a330-800 neo orders, nobody wants small widebody aircrafts anymore. Carriers that wanted a direct replacement already ordered the 787-8. But a bigger narrowbody plane like the A322 is interesting. It's much cheaper than a widebody, more economical in fuel consumption, needs a smaller cabin crew and can fit the small narrowbody gates at airports, while the 787/a330 blocks the big widebody gates.

In my opinion, small widebody (especially like B767, but to some extent A330 too)has some instant inefficiency, as with whole 1m wider crossection (as a320=3,6m width, b767=4,7m) you get just ONE more seat per row (3+3=6 vs. 2+3+2=7) which brings the efficiency down (drag increases but passenger number not as much). Yes passengers will love it (2+3+2 is excellent for pax comfort) but will they pay for it? If there are two aisles (widebody) then again more seats in a row increase the effectivity... so b787 3+3+3 or even b777 3+4+3... i din't believe it would be practical to go over THAT number though, 3+5+3 sounds insane, 5 pax in one row :( So yes, not a big surprise that the MOM (as per medium crossection) has trouble with lower (especially fuel) efficiency, and is not so much popular... Peak efficiency is 3+3 or 3+4+3

These are exciting times for consumers to be living in; we are about to witness those great leaps in technology the world witnessed during the Cold War because of what is happening in geopolitics, this new fierce competition between blocs will for sure get read of these monopolies, and get some completion and innovation going in the aeronautic and aerospatial industry again.

Taking into account there only a few 757 operators in the world and most have outlined their plans (involving a321neo / a321xlr....and that sales of the a330 never really picked up (so much so that Boeing invested in making the 787 a smaller alternative to the 777...rather than a competitor to the a330 (even though they are still the competing pair)

It (322) will be powered by either the CFM-Leap 1A or Prat&Whitney Neo (1100) if it ever materializes but I highly doubt it. We build the A220-300 and A320/321’s here in Mobile AL. Anyways, nice vid you should do some research on the A220 and talk more about it even though it’s not an Airbus at lol 😂. It’s actually a BD-500 bombardier built and designed in Canada don’t cha know. When you hold more shares in a company (Airbus) you can take someone’s design and aircraft and just simply rename it (A220). Fun fact, A220 has composite wings, fuselage, most of the tail, electric brakes (pos idea imo) and so on. It’s really lightweight.

Add the L2 for boarding stretch the darn cabin and add 8 main gears to accommodate the weight. Please to much as done to the A321. These planes are flying further now. B757 was the best narrow body medium to long range aircraft built.

And Boeing is still fu*king around with the 50+ year old 737. Instead of designing a completely new narrow body from the ground up they keep “improving” on a 50 year old design.

The video is wrong about the new wing technology. The new wing design is a free flapping braced high aspect ratio wingtip which aim's to achieve the same thing Boeing want's to do with their truss braced wing just without the need of a truss. It is NOT a folding wingtip like the 777X.

I do not understand why you still insist to outline the 757 as somehow unreplacable with current in-production aircraft. ALL recent users of 757-200 fleets have made their replacement decisions long ago, and all that I know of are waiting for more A321neos (incl. XLRs). The 757 had been DEAD in the market (and consequently "as a competitor") since the late 1990s, out of production since 2004. For the passenger, it was quiet compared to the incredibly noisy 727s it was intended to replace, but compared to a modern A321neo it is loud. It has the same narrow fuselage as the 707, 727 and 737, creating inconvenience and lack of baggage space for those inside and permanently disabling the planes from carrying containers. The 757 has a decent climb rate and range, but the latter is nearly matched even by a standard A321neo and dwarfed by the XLR. UNITED puts (squeezes?) 200 PAX into an A321neo - and 176 into a 757-200. ICELANDAIR offers 187 seats on its brandnew A321 LRs, but only 184 on the 757-200. So the often made claim that the 757 had more capacity is a myth too. Finally the 757-200 comes along with a whopping 10 metric tons of more structural weight than a modern A321. Its operation is more expensive, not more versatile.

Dude, I work for United and regularly work in the B757 and B 737 cabins, they may be both single isles but that doesn't mean they have the same size, and the way you sound is misleading to the uninformed; passenger comfort has nothing to do with the size of the plane, it's all has everything to do with the airliner that decides how many seates to crame for passengers, the carryon compartments in wide bodies in proportion to the number of people they carry are all about the same volume as in a single aisle. But the B757 is way bigger than the B737 it has literally 3 sections and has 2 galley areas just like wide bodies do, with more toilets for passengers it's clear they are 2 completely different planes and their engines are way more powerful, pilots deem it the race car of the airs.

At the moment Airbus doesnt have any competition from boeing at the A321 planes. The 737-10 will carry less pax and have shorter reach than 321neo and then 321LR and XLR have even grater range. There is no need for Airbus to develop, at the moment a 322 since Boeing doesnt have anny competitor to either 321 and 322. However, Boeing is working on a 737 replacement, They have to, it have been outdated by 32xNeo planes. Lets cal the new narrowbody 797. I think the first versiones wil be the 757-200 replasement, then 757-300 and then the 737replacement versiones. For Boeings sake i hope it wil be presented in a wery few years. This morning i arrived in Seoul from Astana on Air Astanas 321NEO-LR. grate plane, grate service and grate comfort. load facor around 75% in Economy. I gues biz vas close to 100% It takes 16 biz and 150 economy pax. It has replaced both 757 and 767 that they used earlyer on this route. I think they fly every night from both Astana and Almaty to Seoul with 321LR planes. My gues is they earlier flew from only one of the citys a night to fil up their 767 with 230 seats. Also a little bit after wee boarded the plane, a 321LR left for Phuket. I think 2 hours later one of their 767 left for Frankfurt. I think Frankfurt might stil bee a litle bit to long for a 321LR

Boeing is indeed NOT working on a new aircraft. There is no program or announcement of the alleged 797. So right now and probably up to 2030 there will be no 737 replacement or middle-of-market project.
