I have been watching this channel for years and this is the first sensible desission i have seen! I ran a 540bbc in a 72 Nova at about the same power level with a 500 shot of nitrous for years. Was good for cruising,racing and whatever you threw at it didn’t matter.. changed the oil and kept the valves in check and it was fine 👌

Coming from an Aussie with over 100 burnouts on 1 engine, Run them on alcohol will keep them alive, more alcohol = more cool 😎 no intercooler or anything needed, i turn mine to 8500 but its small block 😊 looks like you got the goods tho, ready to put em on the rings!!!

Those 5 engines would make a great start to a build off series! 4 or 5 people have to find a roller to put their drivetrain in. Burnout/drag/drift and Cleetus gets to test each one and choose who designed the best 1 out of all teams.

Add a big oil cooler and increase the oil capacity. Also add extra radiators and coolant capacity to all burnout cars. All of that plus methanol will keep the engine cool enough to survive multiple burnout events.

Honestly should avoid meth if you want easier maintenance. Injectors don’t like sitting with methanol in them. Correct way is to run gas through after the event. Using ethanol has fewer problems.

Should have went with 410 outlaw sprint car motors, high revving small blocks that sit at WOT for ages with not a huge deal of load on them compared to other disciplines of motorsports. And I think you should probably try and get the burnout fleet looking good too, like our aussie cars are a sort of show/burnout combination

180* headers, a 4" straight pipe dumping into an open 55 gal drum, a 3" straight pipe with a 12" trumpet horn on the end, 8 full length rear exit Zumiez, and some boom tubes should add a little audible variety to the burnout comps!

On the Holley you can do temperature enrichment for over operating temp to help reduce engine temps. Not sure if this would help prolong the burnout engine lifespans a little. GM does this on their ecu's
