For me, the story of your buying the Chateau and any or all of the renovation planning and process, along with the natural reality and “hominess” of your team is really interesting. I realize that your dream of running an elegant spa may be more important to you, but I think large parts of your audience may agree with me. So whether you film it, or a big production company does, that is why I continue to follow you. The spa, not so much.

I stopped watching some of the bigger subscribed chateau owners as you only have to scratch the surface to see how false and manipulative they are. Unlike the American television show ( This Old House) the camera crew does NOT interfere with the progress of the work when filming. They don’t get under foot. If they are explaining what and how something that is broken or damaged, needs repair? They will get it done, they will make a 10 minute segment to explain and demonstrate how a damaged wall is being repaired and done right. Example restoring lath & plaster, or beefing up a weak structural element that is in danger of breaking. additionally : there is a manufactures resource of tools or materials that sponsors these programs as a point of advertising and control costs of materials hopefully the Television show will pay you handsomely for?. My point here is let the guys do their work, their great at what their doing anyway. It’s authentic. You are in control. The videos put up by you are great, keep going and look forward to your return from winter holiday.

Hi Denise. Wonderful vlog. Glad you have secured coverage through Channel 4. The chateau is a wonderful piece of history. One thing about taking a break is don’t. Being consistent pays off. Even if the vlog is about something simple, the chateau still speaks volumes for itself. The winter is a quiet time for everyone so just do the same. A vlog about life in the quiet time at the chateau in winter. I for one would love to see the land around the chateau, the trees, the nature. I think I am one of those people who places nature very high in my priority list. If I stayed at the chateau, it would be one of my activities whilst visiting would be to go for a walk in the nature around the chateau. It’s becoming very important for a lot of people, to have nature to go to. She is a huge benefit to wellbeing. You have both taken on a mammoth task and all of us here deeply appreciate you both connecting through this channel. Sometimes, a visit to nature puts a lot of things in perspective. Yes, it will be nice to share life at the chateau in the quiet times and the grounds ( nature) after the very active time through the summer months. It is in these quiet times, it allows the chateau and its surroundings to speak to you in this silence. I have a feeling she is pleased with her new owners and so it gives you both time just to enjoy her. She is compared to a grand wise Lady who has many wise stories to tell and you as her new owner is venturing on a new adventure with her, creating new stories which is the beauty of her story also.
