People were doing this to me earlier today. I need to get better at adapting to the table tbh. My favorite strat is to be honest, only play one card at a time (slow play), and only be honest, when I am out of cards call to my left. I usually make it to final two however I do not constantly take home the dub.

This strategy is solid in isolation, but there's a person sitting to your left and right, and this strategy heavily favors the person who plays before you (i.e. the left). Liar/Bullshit is a game about social manipulation, not math, and you need to be actively manipulating all three of the other players, not just one of them.
@anthonyontvАй бұрын
You can still call out the player to your left as much as you need to
@LordRaineАй бұрын
@@anthonyontv Sure, but you can call out with any strategy. This strategy focuses exclusively on playing mind games with the person on your right, when you should be playing games with everyone. This game is really popular with certain e-celebrities now, you can see games where people played in a way that aggressively gaslit both the preceding and following player, not just one person. Realistically you can't play games with the person across from you unless everyone is actively using the voice chat feature, but that's certainly possible as well.
@anthonyontvАй бұрын
How exactly do you play mind games with the person to your left besides calling them out??
@LordRaineАй бұрын
@@anthonyontv By playing off of their plays, or by talking to them, which is a facet of the game you don't really seem to engage in. Liar's Dice and Bullshit are social manipulation games, playing them on mute is at least 80% of the experience lost.
@anthonyontvАй бұрын
@@LordRaine If you don't notice I have them on mute and also rarely ever move my character, I do this on purpose to not give away tells, and you cant force other players to interact so its best to get good at this game whithout the social aspect, same as online vs offline poker, its two different games

25:15 If theyre forcing a 50/50 headsup and sticking to it, you can use your own cards to determine what move they made. Since you only had 2, it's way more likely for him to have 3 which makes it more likely for the 2 to be a lie.
@hardboiled2987Ай бұрын
Also if you want a random piece of advice, don't depend too much on statistical math, at least in terms of predicting what will happen next. Stats are a tool we use to measure probability, but it technically does not objectively exist. It's only a means of comprehension for our tiny ape brains. Stats become more and more concrete the lsrger the same pool is, but in the moment/short term? It basically does not even exist (yw for didnt ask walltext. Anytime)
@anthonyontvАй бұрын
Yes and no, it’s a decent read, but when In doubt call out the three and you’re going to get it more times then not. Just because it’s a 1v1 doesn’t mean that they will be the ones with the 3 table cards, on average one person will have 3 table cards out of 4 players, but in a 1v1 the stats don’t change since the other two players that are dead still technically get there hand delt to them. ( atleast you can look at it like this) So if the average game looks like 3-2-2-1 then the chances the guy left to have the 3 isn’t any different even though it’s a 1v1. It’s actually mostly always likely that you both will have 2. If you have 3 though, you can almost always guarantee they only have 2 but if you have 2 you shouldn’t always guarantee they have 3. I still think your best option would be to call them out for throwing 3, more times than not.
@anthonyontvАй бұрын
End of the day though, yeah anything can happen, you can get really lucky or unlucky, the best thing to do is get a read on what your opponent is doing and then add stats in as an extra variable to help you make a decision. Example. If a player always lies on the 2 then they throw three, obviously don’t call out the 3 even though probability and statistics is telling you to. Make the read on the player than let statistics try to confirm your reads for a more confident call out.

@@patomallard3280 lol it’s fine but just to explain further… the % chance of getting 0 table cards compared to getting 0 table cards 3 times in a row is nuts. It’s around 5% chance for getting 0 table cards once and around a 0.5% chance to get it three times in a row, (I think it’s even lower than 0.5% I think someone told me it was something crazy like 0.2% or 0.1%) it’s just me understanding probability (which is something I use to play the game) and realizing that In the current state of the game, it’s more likely for someone to be cheating, than for me to have been delt that hand.
@anthonyontvАй бұрын
@@patomallard3280 I just looked found the guy who did the math for me, it is 1 in 8000 that you get delt that hand 3 times. So again this is why I questioned it.
