+Molly Sandera Asalamu alaikum The reason why the day of judgement is so scary is because of what that day is. The sun will be one mile above our heads. The prophet (sallalahua alayhi wa salam) said that everyone will be sweating, some to our mouths (drowning), some to our waist some to our ankles and it's in accordance to our sins. On that day a child's hair will go grey due to fear. And children are free from sins they have no sins. On that day Allah says you will see people running around like their intoxicated, but Allah says their not intoxicated. The severity of that day is so severe that people have been driven to madness. Allah will descend with his angels in rows. And the hellfire will be brought. Allah says that every nation will fall on their knees. Even the ambiya. All the prophets will fall on their knees. Some of the salaf literally died due to the fear's of this day. They dropped dead because of how scared they were. This is just some of the scenes of the day of judgement. There's so much more. And Allah knows best. May Allah protect us on that day, and make us of those who will be under his shade.
