So, I spent my time building a beautiful base only to have it wiped when the season resets. Yeah, I know we can save it as a blueprint, but I have future plans for my base that I want to carry out instead of rebuilding what I have already built before.

Dude someone contact the developers for this wipe BS. This isn’t tarkov or ghosts of tabor. When it comes to “wipes” you can’t use it on a game that requires this much of a grind, accommodating for players that have school or a job and can’t spend more than 4 hours a day on a game. All their progress which could take 2 months, their time could be achieved by a daily player who can play for 8 hours a day in a matter of weeks if not sooner because of their personal situations, whether they’re a streamer or their parents are okay with them living this lifestyle in their basement. I know both sides of the coin here. I was the gamer that could spend a quarter of the day on things like this. But now I have a job and children that need me, and I’m incredibly invested in this game. So the few hours I get a day to play, I’d like the developers to take people like me into account when in comes to the wipes. (Ps. I don’t mean to sound like a person wanting to compete in the Olympics apposed to the opposite gender or a fat person trying to get more free seats on an airplane with my “take into account of people like me” quote but come on. People like me are normal 😂😂😂

Good to know...this will be the 1st season and the last, and yes the wipe thing will kill the game as far as PVE, spending hours in game building a base and an afk farm for 6 weeks, then starting all over again to get wiped season after season is not a thing players will appreciate in the long run. Its a grind and survive game, this is like the perfect game to me, but devs are playing the wrong cards with wipes....so disappointing to see a perfect piece of art painted with knock off crayons.

You can play at a slow pace to collect the starcrom to bring to next season. It's stupidly fast how my alt character level up in week 4. Due to the weekly rewards collected from week 1 to week 4. If you play in week 5 u probably can level up to max in the same day

I just went through a wipe about 4 hours ago. You can keep all of your recipes, blueprints, mods, furniture, things of that nature. However, your energy links, food, ammo and materials disappear, WELL sort of. If you managed to finalize Eternaland, all of your stuff goes there, BUT you are given just a small handful of currency to transfer Eternaland stuff to the new Season and when I say small amount, like enough to transfer 4-5 things. I transferred my Valor rifle and 4 boxes of Tungsten ammo, I had no currency left to transfer anything else. I was mislead into thinking that we could use Astral sand to do this, but I was wrong. Astral Sand is completely, 100% useless. I have 500,000 of it and can do nothing with it. I might as well say Eternaland is useless too. They wasted their time making such a system, when they could have just let us flag X amount of items to transfer to the new season or given us a special crate to put items in for transfer, that would have been a much more intelligent solution, but no, they wasted all this time developing a stupid island that is completely barren of anything game related. With the measly currency they give you for transferring items, I suggest transferring wood, copper and bronze, don't waste your time with transferring gear. Get the basic items to rapidly rebuild. If this whole new season is going to be a coy of what I just spent an entire month doing, only to repeat, I am done with this game for good. I am glad I didn't pay anything for it :D

There is nothing that can prepare people for a wipe, and once the wipe has happened, only after that the game will sets its identity. And based on the few truly game breaking bugs that have occured, i would suggest to mentally prepare for a complete loss/reset. I truly do not think the game is worth the hype, and yes i have about 70 hours in it, there is a severe lack of content and major lack of motivation to play after like 20 hours if u play efficiently. But as a gamer at heart, i truly hope that the game survives, cause we need good games to survive, especially with how f2p friendly it is.

This game had potential, but because it's made by the Chinese that means it will live a short life. They wanted people to buy stuff early and make money, but the lack of content is beating them in the race. It will be dead in another month if they don't add more content soon. You can only do material runs and WP's so many times before you lose your mind from boredom. Not many games are built for shelf life, if you want shelf life, World of Warcraft is where it's at, that will give anyone 20 years of something to do.

I'm not sure I can be bothered with this whole season thing it's incredibly confusing even trying to keep up with the thousand menus and currencies and tasks and goals ongoing as it is, never mind a selective wipe every 6 weeks that completely resets all my hard work building a house and so forth. I think Once Human will lose a lot of players when the wipe occurs.

you can just Save the bp of what you build you can even change it's material if the building you saved from like marble to wood. it's not a complete reset

That in particular makes it more appealing.. along with new scenarios. I’m not sure I really want to repeat Manibus on a different difficulty level so will just chill in Eternaland until the new winter scenario releases in October.

⁠@@lag00n54 not your place to say it’s not his type of game. He might love these genres. Take ark or Conan for example those have pvp and pve there are set times to pvp. The pve part of once human shouldn’t have a wipe that takes all player progression. That will kill the pve. Take rust for example that’s still a big time pvp griefing game that gets a server wipe to keep players from become alpha tribes and taking over the server. In pve we don’t have to worry about their being an alpha tribe because its player vs environment. Me personally absolutely love these types of game but yes the wipes do kills games for us normal people with full time jobs and kids that depend on us. These are my top favorite games to play so it would be cool to have a mode that doesn’t get wiped and you loose everything you spent a lot of time on or the only available free time that we have.

Been thinking about trying Once Human out for the first time and this doesn't seem too bad. As long as I can keep my weapons, it's fine really. I think it might also keep things refreshed and is an incentive to actually grind, keep things fun in the long run. Could get annoying after awhile but I feel this Server Wipe could keep things relatively new.

Yes, the weapon remains, but to make a new armor or weapon that you already had, it will easily be 20lvl, and you are 1lvl again and you need to pump the character again to do these things

The sad thing is...OH is a very fun game. Gunplay, very nice locations for a survivalcraft-game. Even grinding for stuff is not that hard, so that you happily log in everyday to "achieve something". But, there are many things that should be a priorty: server-performance, nearly empty parts of the map, missing voiceovers, balance issues... Wipes will thin out the playerbase season by season. And even 100 "invite-tokens" per player will not change a thing. It will dry out. I can only speak for me and my buddy: after the wipe we are struggling hard to even log in. p.s: btw, 20k transferpoints for the forced serverswitch? thats insane. (for the viewers not playing OnlyHuman: everyone gets the 20k points to "buy out" stuff from your own stash to take with you to the next server. they made even basic stuff so horribly expensive that it nearly makes no sense. example: the ONE(!) legandary weapon you grinded hard for, will cost you 10k of your transferpool-.-)

I started a second playthrough a couple days ago to see how it felt. It was nice that I was able to take some items from my first playthrough (tungsten pickaxe, drill, chainsaw, some materials), but it's still very unsatisfying to start back at level one. It seems like the developers are trying to make the wipe as painless as possible. But then that makes me think: "Then why have them?" I honestly can't think of a good reason why. Playing 'Fallout 76', if I ever wanted to start over, I could at any time. But I was never forced to.

I'm a beta player and I didn't know about the wipes and when I found out that was after beta closed and many hours spent on getting good weapons and level and my base all gone and I lost all hope for the game and never played again and now I'm coming back to the game to give it my final review but before I can I'm having to watch more than 10 videos understanding the season wipes it seems like I'm not really getting it but I can bet after my first wipe my motivation will drop and I'll be burnt out and not bothered to level up again and remake my base. one big thing I want to know is what do you earn to keep through the seasons? Eternal Land will not export items to a new season ! It will stay in the Eternal land. The blurb expressly says so. Unless the Devs suspend that 'law'. It's really just a glorified Sticker-Book for your collectables, that's all.

Again theres a 200,000 that you see in the other tab. The eternal land will most likely have a Limited pull from eternal land with a limot on the said currency meaning your limited to what you can pull based kn that cap. Meaning it may be possible to bring over a tv socr for 150,000/200,000 astral sand. Meaning you have 50k left to pull or so

@@takewhataway Eternal land is not meant for just you alone, there are options for allowing your EL open to public/friends/invite and I noticed options for allowing vehicles and if you want the area pvp or not. So it could well be a personal craftable server area that you can share in a way that suits you. Can't be sure until it happens but that is what it is looking like and I am good with that.

@@Marcustheseer 6 weeks then after that 6th week they unlock the hardmode so basically NG+ and it transfers all the materials stuff in your eternal land to get anytime but you only have 20k rare stuff is more expensive so just be smart on what you take you can also save your builds as a blueprint so you don't have to rebuild it if you really like it I think they're also adding basically a server /place that is unaffected by Season the next big scenario is on october so we have plenty of time to get stuff and prepare for the next season

I looked forward to the game, once I heard about the wipes, straight uninstall. Nobody wants to continuously re-grind everything, that's stupid, unless you're on PVP, then it makes sense. It makes no sense to wipe on PVE servers since it's not like Ark Survival where you can have pillars clutter the entire map and cause lag issues.

I really like this game and spent many hours during my summer vacation playing BUT now that i'm back to work i don't really know how these wipes are going to work for me. Chances are that i will eventually drop the game, if not after the 1st wipe then surelly after the 2nd. It's too much of a grind for a game that resets every six weeks. My server is on week 4 right now and half of my friends have not even reached level 50 because they don't have time to play every single day and will definitely not start over when the server resets. This said, even if i had time to play, the people i wanna play with don't, so we'll probally switch to another game that we can play all together the little time we are able to find each other online. A game can't be grindy AND have wipes all at the same time.

As someone who reached phase 4 and has 200 hours I want the wipe... The game becomes a doll grind for weapon mods and starchrom.... I literally made a new character in a phase 1 server just because it was fun to start over. I'm pretty sure 90% of the peope who are worried about the wipe have less than 50 hours because once you play to end game u will realise why the game needs wipe... If the Devs listen to the players crying about wipe not only will they lose there long time players they will lose the players crying for a wipe when they realise they actually want a wipe lol

Because OH has no meaningful content. They rely heavily on grind and collect. The lore is not interesting either and delivered in an awful way. The mayfly (us) is not significant to the story. At least that's what I feel. Im at phase 3, level 33, 64 hours. PVE server From someone coming from Fallout 76, I can say for sure that I dont need a wipe out to have fun. Its great to have an identity in the character, level 1000, 3000 hours, keeping all of my base and junk and still having fun. Thats why players still play 6 years later, or people coming back after sabatical or long hiatus because they know they will come back to something they've progressed and kept. OH "borrowed" so many things from Fallout 76 but fail to implement what makes it work for the 76. Wiping out in PvP game makes sense. But It doesnt in PvE. Most players like to keep what they earned. This game will lose a lot of their player base BECAUSE of the wipe. They cant even keep the ones they have right now

Everyone panicking about server resets, on the other hand: Me: How hard am I going to melt the early bosses ass if I take my Tungsten Ammo created in Eternaland and ship them once the new season starts? Oh and finally the shit I've been saving up for that I never got when I was level 10: Gold Weapons and Armor. I can now re-use them and relish the moment of ruining early game mobs with overpowered equipment. I am on week 1, speedran to level 34 (thanks to youtubers guides) and have already preparing my Eternaland for the asskicking next season. I see the end of the season as a way to prepare and correct my early mistakes for the next season.

Personally I think the wipe should be optional. For those who can’t get on everyday and would like to go at their own pace should be able to choose to stay in their season. For those at end game with not much to do can go to the next season if they choose to etc. also i think it’d be better if they completely wiped people who have logged in and never returned but with substantial notice before hand. 3 notifications to say you’re being wiped from server due to inactivity. Just my opinion

I see an absolute mess in the coming server wipe... I certainly won't be playing, maybe just create a new character or maybe you can't even do that having to start in week 7 and no beginner areas :(

Im currently playing the game its fun am just not shure how fun it is to start over every 6 weeks. If you kept yourr lv and craft skills them it would matter so much but if everything but youre cosmetics and currency gets wiped that gets annoing. Wil see maybe they wil stil change some of these things

The Server Cap also coz of the Alt Account Problem. Many made alt account to get more real estate., then complain not much peeps are doing silo/boss or prime wars.

yeah, a lot of the complaining amuses me from time to time 2 weeks ago people in world chat were complaining 6 weeks wasn't enough time to complete all the content and now they're complaining because there isn't enough content

OKAY. I let everything get taken away. Starting over, over !!, I love the game, love it, but this will probably be my last 6 weeks. The take away, start over is just stupid. The Dev don't care, I am not the gamer they want. However, I would be giving financially buying things, but nope. I am probably done.

this game is pretty much undawn without the cashshop, and pay to win items but with all the issues and the payto play wipes which pretty much turn this game in to a trial for anyone who does not have eternal land, and they will abandon it the same way they did undawn and life after another similar game with everything

Wipe killed the game this video did not age well. Once human was great but now its archived. nevermind game is doing better than new world and has peak player count of 56k thats a really decent amount for mmos lately.
