No. They do not for your family members. Each state is different so check your state labor laws. I am in NC and we can put our children on payroll at a young age.

I think you are missing the point here. When you employ your children at a young age, you teach them the importance of earning their own money and impart a valuable life lesson. This experience helps them develop into responsible adults who can positively contribute to society. Additionally, working for what they want fosters a sense of pride and self-worth in them.

Dentist now, i worked for my parents business although my parents being immigrants, they did not leverage this. Still working for my parents taught me value of money and labor.
