Why can't we just hold people to be accountable for their actions? Football can't fix everything, everytime there is a major controversy everyone cries "its up to football to do more". There are punishments in place to deter players from gambling, Toney got caught, he's serving his 8 months and that should be it.

The other 11 bets concerned newcastle (his parent club) where he was not a part of the dressing room. Therefore he had no 'insider info' concerning the games, he was betting out of anger- not 'insider' intelligence.
