I’ve been thinking about an electric drive chipper that would run off the truck. Put a Danfoss pancake motor/generator between the engine and transmission. Add some super capacitors and slave cables with the drive motor for the chipper. The chipper would loose well over half its size and gain twice the power. Get rid of the little trailer the chipper is built onto and make it a skid so it can go on any trailer or flatbed truck big enough.

I've wondered why there aren't support legs on the feed end of this chipper to help prevent it from tilting to the rear as it chips larger trees.
