Watching these pictures a couple of tears appeared. Of happines because of the beauty of nature, every single being is beautiful. Of sadness because of these new generations are not conscious of this wonder, they don't care, they are destroying it...

Well, poaching is one of many causes. I said it because of the consumerism. Young people nowadays only think about having more and more, and they, who are the persons that can make the difference, are indifferent. ;)

The new generations? It's more of the opposite. People are improving from previous generations. More and more people are becoming conscious of the importance of protecting the environment and the rights of humans and non-humans alike. More and more people are going vegan and taking the rights of others seriously. Movements for justice are growing rapidly. Look at our history and it was far worse than now. Environmental destruction, human and non-human rights violations... our past generations did far worse than newer ones. But we're not improving fast enough. We need everyone on the right side of history RIGHT NOW. The planet and everyone on it cannot wait.

Well, I don't know where you're from. I just can tell you that in my country, Colombia, the situation is worrying. Here the corruption allows that goverment gives environmental licences at random to mining industries and they don't care if there is a river or people living near, and what people do? nothing. Besides, the current young people are like zombies, they go through life thinking only about themselves which has been producing a high level of consumerism. Only in developed countries we can see what you say, and that is inspiring. Unfortunately, people in undeveloped countries,like mine, are reproducing in a worring way and that is one of reasons of pollution because they need more resources for living. Regards.
