the tatoos are actually really meaningful. Kiryu has a dragon, a symbol for power. this shows both his place as a member of a high ranking family and what kind of man he is, he is a force of nature, unyielding. Nishiki has a climbing koi fish, a reference to an old legend where the fish has to climb a waterfall to reach the dragon torii gate, where it then transforms into a dragon. this shows Nishiki as struggling to become like Kiryu, despite seemingly not having it in him, yet he still tries. The tatoos are so far only outlined as they are both relatively new in the yakuza, where it is custom to fill in the color as they rise in rank. There is a lot of hidden meaning behind the tattos in this series so it is certainly something to look out for. also that final fight with Kuze is the only fight where Kiryu starts it by attacking first, showing how he has changed from the first chapter. Now he goes about it like Kuze thinks a real yakuza should.

This series has been a blast to watch! You did amazing during all the fights. This chapter always hits hard in the feels no matter how many times I see it. but on a lighter note, idk if chat told you this, but in the Chinese version of the game they made Lao Gui look a bit prettier I guess for representation lol. Keep up the good work!
