Thank you for joining me in this VERY VULNERABLE video today. I'm going to be honest, it made me so insecure that I almost didn't post it but I am trying very hard to be okay with imperfection. On that note, here is something I FAILED AT - the audio levels are all over the place in this video because I should have used a lav mic in the house but I used a normal shotgun mic and there was a lot of echo and weird stuff going on. Since I "failed" at the audio in this video, I purchased a great lav so that these vlog style videos will be easier to watch moving forward. I tried a new video form (vlogging), got out of my comfort zone, failed at the audio, analyzed the failure and then worked to improve it for the future. Hopefully that somehow inspires you to be okay failing too. I love you all so much. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I'm so glad you posted this video Gabi ❤ I know it's not always fair but sometimes it takes one very brave person being vulnerable to create so much positive change for many others, like a ripplle effect. I'm so proud of you Gabi and I hope you are also so proud of yourself - yes for this video specifically, but more so for who you are and your approach/attitude in life in general 😘

I think you don't give yourself enough credit; your Psychology degree is 'just an undergraduate degree' is a put-down! Girl, you earned that degree, celebrate it and celebrate yourself! This whole video was utilizing what you learned earning that degree. And you did an awesome job at your life, your channel and especially your kids!! Celebrating their failures in that way will help them for the rest of their lives - simply brilliant on your part!! Don't enter me into any giveaways, I don't need anything. What I would appreciate are more videos like this one. You just being you. We all see people trying to be perfect on screen when we all know no one is perfect. Speaking from your heart conveys far more than just words. It's when people's hearts come together. I appreciate you, your talent, your knowledge and your admission to not being perfect. Kudos to Gabi!!!

I have turned down 5 jobs this year that I really wanted to accept, but didn’t have the confidence. So I’m stuck in a toxic workplace feeling angry with myself. My parents constantly told me I was useless, my ex husband believes that women can’t manage without men. My own 2 daughters are extremely successful in their chosen fields, one in corporate business and the other in her own business. I succeeded at giving them confidence to be themselves, but don’t have it for me. Thank you Gabi for your honesty and integrity ❤❤❤

First of all, let me say how incredible you are. 💖 You’ve raised two successful, confident daughters-that’s a testament to the strength and love you’ve poured into them. That’s no small feat! It’s clear you have so much to offer, even if you don’t always see it in yourself. Turning down those jobs wasn’t a failure-it was a reflection of where you were emotionally at the time. But here’s the thing: you’re acknowledging it now, and that awareness is powerful. You have the ability to change your story. Confidence isn’t something we magically have; it’s something we build, step by step. And you’ve already taken so many brave steps by recognizing your worth and showing up here. Thank you for sharing your heart and being so open. You are NOT stuck-you’re in the process of rediscovering yourself, and I truly believe you’ll find your way to a better place. Sending you so much love and encouragement-you’ve got this! ❤❤❤

I have never been enough, therefore, I am not enough. Miss Gabi, you are enough, you are strong and smart and kind. Love your messages today. I'm a 61 year old woman, daughter, mother, wife, cousin, sister, mother in law, daughter in law... and I worked in elementary schools for 22 years. Remember that no matter what you tell your children, they emulate and associate with what they see in their parents more than anything they are told to do or that they are. You can tell your kids that they possess many positive traits, which is absolutely true, and important that you tell them, but if you are not using the same adjectives on yourself in their presence they will not hear what you are telling them about themselves.

Great video, Gabi!! I agree with having to let friendships go. I have 2 friends of 20+ years, I continue to try to get together with them for suppers. They never commit to come through. I need to back away and try to move on instead of thinking I can fix this friends separation. My failure is trying to fix relationships that no longer want to exist. It's so hard, because our friendships have always been times of laughter, smiles and tears. Thank you for this video!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!! ❤️🎄❤️🎄

I’ve failed with my workout/healthy lifestyle. So I am trying again, that’s my goal for the end of year and going into the new year. I however accomplished 6 years of sobriety and want to celebrate that with you all!! If I can do that, I can and will get healthy and it’s not about being over weight! It’s about wanting to be as healthy as I can so I can live healthier and be here longer on this earth. ❤❤❤ Thank you for doing this video, I’m inspired and have hope!! Funny how things work out, when your feeling down or overwhelmed. Boom this video pops up and I needed to hear this. Thank you , Gabi!!

Krista, what an incredible accomplishment to celebrate 6 years of sobriety!!! That is absolutely amazing! You should be really proud of yourself because that is not something easy to do. As for your workout and healthy lifestyle goal - you got this. Next year will be your year! And remember that when you fail for a day, a week or a month, it’s okay because it’s a challenge that’s putting you out of your comfort zone. Just take some time to reflect on why you “failed”, change the situations that led to failure and try again. Perfection is never the goal. Growth is. Sending you a big hug!

Ouffff….that was some video❤️. I must say that I never once questioned your authenticity….you are simply adorable! Failure is a result of trying however big or small, mundane or important. I became a gramma this year and it sent me on a crocheting craze😂😂😂. Plenty of fails there let me tell you🤦🏻‍♀️. But I’ve gotten pretty darn good at it if I do say so myself🤓. As a mom of four adults, I still fail at not letting the younger two “fix” their mistakes……I feel they’re pain so acutely that it pushes me to act when I should stand back…..66 years old and still learning🤷🏻‍♀️. As for video ideas, i love anything to do with mature makeup application….my age should be a clue😂😂. Happiest of holidays to you and your sweet family! ❤️❤️ from a fellow 🇨🇦 in Quebec 🥰

Being your authentic self is never a failure. Having imperfect house is not a failure, it is life with all it's struggles, ups and downs. Your chanel is a sucess because you are real and willing to show that. This vid was one of the best you have made. If more people were willing to look inside themselves , the world would be a better place. My suggestion for future vid would be: we all have blushes we don't use, or don't know how to use on our skin tones, "how to layer different colour blushes together to give multidimmentional, rich blush and use those not so perfect purchases" and my preference would be for haru haru wonder.❤

Your success comes from your ability to be genuine to be yourself to be vulnerable. This is something that so many people should learn. I love watching your videos. In 2025 I will not be watching any sale videos no matter how much I like the influencer. No Sephora, Ulta, Amazon or Black Friday sales. No "ND's new eye palette release" or other releases. I have to stop buying stuff and use what I have across the board. With that said, I want to see videos on "shop my stash", "declutter what you don't love and use, or what doesn't work great every time", "quick makeup when you don't feel great", "refreshing your makeup later in the day", "party makeup that doesn't look like you're trying too hard", "how to correct mistakes like when eye shadow or liner goes wrong", "mixing colors when something isn't the perfect color like foundation, blush, or lipstick" 💖

I agree with you 100% throughout the last four years I started getting away from toxic friendship. It’s not good for your mental health your heart and your well-being. I decided that I choose happiness not negativity. And some of those toxic friends are so negative that it’s toxic. Unfortunately with family I just deal with them once in a blue moon and that’s it. It’s harder to walk away from family that are toxic, but just deal with them a couple of times a year. It won’t be so bad.

I need to be talked off the ledge 😉I’m racing out the door in the morning to catch a train. So I have time for eye liner and lipstick only. My goal for the new year is to really be dedicated to my skin care and experiment more with makeup…..because after all it’s fun.😉 If you can do a video specifically about eyeshadow application- a few looks. The simplest look that can be created in the least amount of time, up to a very glamorous (night out) look when more time is available. Thanks & Happy Holidays 😊

TRNR skin! Gabi, you are beautiful in every way! Well said! Thank you so much for sharing the unattractive human side of life. You are so courageous doing what you do. Placing yourself in the public eye will always pose risks to your self-esteem because many people dwell in misery and want to bring everyone down. You're handling it well! You are one of my favorite MUAs, but even more, I see you as a lovely, talented, intelligent, beautiful young woman who shares her knowledge in an important way with other women. Keep up the great work!

I’m so grateful to have you here as part of this journey with me. Sending you all my love and gratitude! 💕✨

I love this video with real talk about struggles we all face. This has been a year I feel I’ve totally failed, but the failure comes from not trying and then realizing I’m not getting what I want. I also love your mature makeup videos. And I’d love the Haru Haru Wonder.

TIR TIR. You inspire me, I love that your a Canadian content creator and I just adore your authenticity. I would love to see a video about how you have gotten to where you are today. Merry Christmas, and I will continue to watch all your videos in the New Year 🎉❤ I struggle with self worth also and over the last few months I have been on a personal therapy journey, working towards a better self image. It's a lot more difficult to fix then I assumed, once you become aware of how you truly see yourself.

Thank you so much for your kind words-you just made my day! 🥹💖 It’s amazing to hear that my content resonates with you, and I feel so lucky to have such thoughtful and supportive viewers like you. I’ll definitely consider making a video about my journey-it hasn’t been a straight path, but sharing it might help others on their own. I hear you on how tough the journey toward self-worth can be. It’s hard work, but the fact that you’re showing up for yourself and doing the work is so inspiring. Therapy is such a brave and empowering step, and even though it’s challenging, every little breakthrough is a win. Be patient and kind with yourself-you’re doing something truly transformative. Wishing you the happiest Christmas and an amazing New Year ahead. 🎄❤ Let’s keep growing together in 2024! ✨🎉

This was an absolutely excellent video and your Insight and wisdom and excellent advice was so very much appreciated. You have a lot of instinctual wisdom and excellent advice that you can share with this community and I think it would be very much appreciated to learn more from you in that manner as well. My mom passed away at the beginning of the year and I feel like I have failed at grieving well. I don't know if one can grieve in a good manner but I just feel so lost and isolated and I wish that I could be more positive and remember all the wonderful things that my mom did in her life instead of being so sad all the time. Thank you for letting me share this with you and I think that your thoughts of how you want your channel to move going forward is absolutely Wonderful

Haruharuwonder - I LOVE your Bunny! So adorable! Thank you for this video, we all should be able to be open and be ourselves, loved it! In fact I love all your videos. I am mature skin and have tried many foundations, high ends, low ends, ones for mature skins, and they all streak on my face, none look normal. I have changed up my skincare and even tried putting foundation on with nothing on my face. Maybe a short video why our foundations are streak, like it is sliding off ? Thank you!!!!

I have majically failed at an amazing amount of intentions, endeavors and actions this year.. I'm initially feeling gut-punched if I self-search for failures turned learning experiences.. which leads me to choose daily self-compassion. More often then not this year, I failed to show myself the grace or self-compassion I'd show to another. I set my own expectations too high. It's time to acknowledge my human failings as acceptable instead of obstacles to success 💞🎄😍

Haru Haru Wonder Please more videos of you being so open so vulnerable. I find you stronger amazing inspiring. Every time you are lowering the mask of just makeup you shine you become unique. You will always be better than those that put you down. However I know that the internet or social media is what someone defined “sewer” of humanity. But I think you are perfect as you are they don’t deserve you or your talent and what you bring to those that SEE YOU and hear you for your true self. ❤ Thank you for this amazing video!

TIR-TIR. Honestly, your videos NEVER disappoint and I'm always learning something new! 😊 That said, as I grow older (62), I am finding the need to wear extensions or a wig - of sorts due to thinning hair - and no matter what I've bought, they just don't work. Can you help me, and maybe other older viewers, figure this out? Your videos bring pep to my week, and I thank you for your honesty and for keeping IT (them) real! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! ❤ 🎄 ❤

Tir Tir or Haru Haru Wonder would be great! I love Korean skin care products. Gaby for whatever reason humans tend to focus on the bad rather than the good. I have learned that its perspectives. You touched on this when speaking about self worth. It’s about seeing the positives in the negatives and learning to love. Surround yourself with people who love and are positive. Maybe for 2025 once a month use your platform and have a wellness/mental health show with a special guests like Jaime and/or literature that specializes in positive psychology. Just remember that people who lash out negatively are usually their issues, nothing to do with you. Thank you for being open about your feelings and life! You are beautiful inside and out! On a positive note it was awesome to see you and your husband collaborate on gifts for men! It was cute, funny and fun we all love you!

I have failed miserably with my workout routine. I promise myself I will workout at least 3x a week. Nope. Not even close. At the same time, I struggle with vistibular migraines. I never know when I’ll get one & they are debilitating. Even though I know they are, I still do not give myself grace if I can’t or don’t keep a workout schedule. Thank you for your video. I would like to see more behind the scenes videos. We all really don’t know what goes into making one. I didn’t know you had a bunny, but she is very pretty. And you are right, you don’t have to have a perfect video. You are normal just like the rest of us. I love seeing you do every day stuff. The bunny needs her liter box changed, you have clothes to put up, it’s fine, we all have things that need to done. I have two kitties, cleaning the litter boxes is aways a thing. Something else you could share is, only if you want to, what kind of bunny do you have, what does she eat, and how you take care of her. You being you is just fine with me.

Desavory! And a video idea for next year might be a focus on real beauty with individual uniqueness, like the way it used to be before all the plastic surgery, injections, etc that has become so popular. Now everyone looks the same! So embracing our beauty as it is without changing it!🙏🙏🙏 And the thing I’ve miserable failed at this year is what I fail at regularly, and that’s being everything I want to be as a child of the Most High God. I know that His mercy and grace cover all of my shortcomings, but it breaks my heart that He suffered so greatly for all of us, yet I continue to be so flawed. That’s honestly the biggest burden I carry…yet He forgives us always at our repentance.🙏

Gabi - I feel exactly like you do when I have (not meaning to) upset somebody. I’m going to use your wise words going forward. A few years ago I did let go of a toxic friend. It was hard but, my Husband and other friends noticed my outlook has been so much better. I’m so happy to see you surrounded by great KZbinr creators. I am truly Marlena’s biggest fan and always will be. She is the strongest, smartest creator I have ever watched. I’m happy that you are friends with her and Lisa J, Angie etc. You ARE worthy! I would love the see a vlog next year of your day, planning a video idea, opening pr, your thoughts on trends. Even if you just do that once a month, it would be fun to touch base with you. You are headed to even greater things! Btw, my biggest fail was at work trying to cure a violation and stop fines but, I cured the wrong violation. 😂 Oh well, I fixed the right one and got fines waived so not all is lost. 🤷‍♀️Please enter me into any of the giveaways. Success and failure is life and many people only want to talk about Success, but it is the failures that make us who we are. How we respond to those failures can make us so much stronger and better. I hope you continue to share your authentic self with us in all your videos next year. Any product you review, any tutorial you provide, anything you chat about, will be enjoyable. I look forward to 2025 with you, sweet lady! Good luck and God bless ❤️🤗

I love all of your videos, and I especially resonate with these types of videos where you relay what you have learned from your life experiences and at the same time taking us along in your life journey. Yet, it's more than that, because in these types of videos it almost as if we are walking in the same direction but taking different paths where we meet at a particular juncture - if that makes sense. Thank you for this video today, and all the videos you put together. TIR TIR. A new idea for a video can be where you share beauty secrets or trends from Brazil - whether it be skincare or hair care- something that you have learned from your grandparents or great grandparents that may be unconventional here but others may still do it back home.

The reason your channel has become successful is because of you. I'm not sure you understand that. You are so genuine and authentic, kind and loving, talented and beautiful... and I don't think you see yourself the way we see you. Your willingness to be vulnerable is part of what makes you so approachable and enigmatic. And I'm so glad you've come to appreciate "failure", which truly is our greatest teacher. It's our failures and our reactions to our failures that truly define our character and propell us to true success in life.
