That's just a normal day for most people 2000 mg is 4 pills for extra strength or 8 pills diabetic pain relief over the counter meds. The reason I know is that pain relief pills thin the person blood to lower the pain and spread it out to the body. Already opened bottle is probably has 4 or 8 in that context all of that's left it is the apocalypse.

Kevin, in case you didn't know, - A scratch is a 7% chance of Zombification - A laceration is 25% chance of Zombification - A bite is fatal. - The amount of dirt and blood on your character can cause an increase in the chance of wounds becoming infected (Not Zombification). This is not fatal, but Im unsure what this infection does exactly. Its possible that it may heal slower, cause minor damage with a dirty bandage, and cause more pain. Edits: "Cleared" up the dirt & blood section

Kevin you will never see this but here’s some advice to help u next time. - KEEP diamond pattern sweaters! They are one of the few articles of clothing that can protect your neck, where zombies tend to aim the most (they also aim for your groin a lot). For that slot of clothing, they are actually considered the best clothing item in the game. - press space bar to push zombies. This will happen no matter what weapon is in your hand whether it be nothing or a gun. Doing a wack then a push to knock them over is a great way to get them on the ground for an easy kill. - when in your car and need to get out in a horde, u can change seats. Hold V and it will give u the option to so. That way u can get out on the side with the least zombies. - don’t enter a window when there is a zombie right next to it. U will be locked in the animation of crawling through and the zombie can hit u easily. - if the lock of a house window is broken, you can break the window easily to get in. - avoid using guns unless your character is trained in them. If the character doesnt have experience in shooting, they are almost never worth it since u will be missing at point blank range and they will attract other zombies. - a scratch is 7 percent chance of zombification. A laceration is 25 percent. A bite, is 100%. If you get bitten, u might as well start a new game because u will be dead within a week. Hope this helps. Great video! You are awesome. Edit: little update, zombies no longer aim for the groin. In fact, they now almost exclusively will attack your upper body. And some argue that the new meta is to run around pantsless(not making that up).

Honestly, something rather worse than getting bitten is a throat laceration, didn't realize until I got one that the devs made it a thing that those are especially lethal and you'll bleed out in seconds if you don't bandage it. The zombies can literally slit your throat and it's terrifying. At least if you get bitten you have time to plan ahead with your next character to retrieve your stuff.

Thank you for mentioning the setting thing. A lot of people see the game as super difficult, but I always find that tweaking the settings and working your way up to the base game really helps.

Yeah I'd really recommend a no zombies run to new players to get used to the map and various mechanics, or at least a lesser zombies run I also like to use the settings to create what I feel is a more realistic game. I up loot because the small amount of things people have in their houses is kind of ridiculous - I get people would take food and clothes if they were evacuating, but books, bathroom supplies, and stuff like cookware/dishware should be more plentiful). I turn off zombie respawn as I find this so stupid and it should be off by default; I understand the migratory explanation, but honestly I'd rather if they just made a migratory option so zombies can come in from off the map, not randomly appear in the center from nowhere. Just these two things have made the game more enjoyable and realistic to me, and I appreciate PZ's ability to let players choose their experience

@@arrye7790 I agree wholeheartedly. I started off with these settings when introducing my friend to the game. Got them warmed up to the game, understanding controls and how everything works. Then lesser zombies, and now we're back to the standard experience. Helps get you used to the game without getting turned off from dying immediately. Now I'm the homebody who is all careful and building up the base, while they're running around the map recklessly because they want a working car. Yet somehow I'm the one who dies as soon as I leave the base.

Hey Kevin, a little tip for the old times sake. When you're right clicking, you're holding your guard up, why is that important? Cause if you don't have your guard up, every hit you take will be a bite (which is always lethal on default settings), if you have it up, even if you take a hit it can convert to a scratch or a laceration. So my advise is always keep it up in unexplored houses (especially around corners, zombies love camping around corners).

Holy shit. (god reference) Had no idea really. Like sure it makes sense but expected guard up to block attacks completely at a fixed % chance. Not that it was the only way to dilute the attack % to be anything but a bite! What I mean is that scratch protection is only useful in guard up combat. And with poor bite protection a hit taken when leaving guard up is basically a 100% death blow. Yea sure not really 100% but far higher then having a chance that a attack instead turned into a scratch that might even be blocked by basic clothing. But even fully geared up your not going to have more then what 70% bite defense? But can have quite some scratch defense and even if you catch a scratch it is not a death blow guaranteed.

So happy to see you take an interest in Zomboid! I randomly bought it based off a friend's recommendation, and have since sunk hundreds of hours in. It's unbelievably deep for a game that's still in active development, and the devs deserve all the support (and publicity) they can get! My current character just recently hit one year/10k kills :)

hey kev fun fact when you are exhausted you can sit on ground and rest with a chair at the same time to make it pass faster, and even can still look around to make sure you dont get snuck up on. They also recently added a map if you press M you can mark if you have a writing utensil
