@@mommasles You know, some of the cabinets I am painting are original to the house, so, from the 60's. I have actually been using Krudcutter cleaner and a sanding block in my prep because of my worries about the very old shellac/varnish interfering with the bond. I just felt like my particular wood surfaces needed this extra step. I am glad to hear you leaving this tip. The paint is quite expensive, so I really don't want to mess it up.

I love the changes. The transformation on the desk, even though it is subtle, makes it look so different. It just shows that even small and subtle changes can make such a big difference.
