Well you could to the finishers to the ref before your opponent has to be behind the ref running finishers only

How do you do the Ladder Match mini game with the dot going in and out like that? I'm stuck on Mania X in showcase because I can never seem to get it to time right with the opening.

Just don't move the stick and press the prompt right before the opening goes to the ball.
