Thanks for what you do. Maybe it's because my hubby and I live in a small town/county, I don't know, but our local gun stores are quite welcoming. It's places such as Bass Pro shops/Cabelas that treat you like your guest described here. It's been a very long time ago, but we traveled across the border to Mexico, and by 2012, the friend who accompanied us said that it was too dangerous to cross into that area. As far as illegal border crossings and how things are now, it has to be a huge insult to those who came here legally and all the hoops they had to jump through to do it. How can anyone say it's humane, especially when human beings are being trafficked (especially kids) is beyond me.

When it came over the news in 2021 that Eagle Pass Texas was going to get a ton of illegals, I wanted to reach out to the town to see what help they needed to help them against this invasion. I went on Facebook for Eagle Pass expecting to see comments of serious concern of the situation instead there was a pattern short sentences in Spanish that appeared to give addresses to one posting and ads of immigration attorneys in Eagle Pass ready to help them. I was stunned at the time and did try to report it.
