In many areas of my state, carrying a concealed fixed blade knife is illegal. That's a factor to be taken into consideration.

Philips screwdriver. Even better if you take a dremel tool and sharpen the tip (it looks mostly inconspicuous unless someone knows what to look for).

I never imagined the possibility of getting caught up in seaweed or trash while swimming. Next time I go to the beach, I'm taking a blade into the water. Shark attacks also happen here, so.

Close in grappling is extremely risky in a knife fight and every instance I've seen both individuals are cut up and someone passes out or dies. A defensive fencing style with a longer blade is my choice. You are better off trying to get away. Just like a firearm, create distance.

Wow nice infomercial for Dom's knifes. Principle #1 What type of knives are legal in your area? My state allows each jurisdiction to set their own standard. What is going to look better on a police report a legal knife or an illegal knife? Principle #2 Get real/legal physical training and do it more than once. Principle #3 The one who wins a knife fight is the last one to die. A knife should be used to break contact run away or allow you to get to your primary weapon system. Principle #4 Learn to use a knife with both hands. Principle #5 Carry two blades one on each side of your body. Principle #6 Get real/legal training.

Well said… not everyone is a Devgru operator… training is everything… Although I have some formal military training… doesn’t mean I can use a knife like John Wick… plus the folding vrs fix blade argument for self defense is not valid… ppl are soft… a full tang is not necessary to slice some one up!

Don't train foreign special operations soldiers from communist china. He has decades worth of unconventional warfare skills. It's cost the US government millions of dollars to train him. He should take those skills to filter out the spies from enemy nations from genuine students. Let us not excuse failure. Especially when that failure will result in countless civilian deaths (at least in Taiwan and eventually in America too), not to mention American soldiers when the war starts. This failure will have many good people picking up the pieces. We have the right to point out this failure so it does not happen again.

Dom question, how do you secure a blade to your board shorts since they arent super tight on your waist as a belt would be? I had a blade with a similar clip and the wave knocked it off and lost it

I appreciate that Dom cares so much about blade design and capability that he has devoted years and invested his own money into making these available. Even if you prefer a different esthetic or need a more affordable option, studying the Dynamis blade features and design provides a useful education. I carry a fixed blade concealed for rapid access and a pocket clip folder for general cutting chores.

SRK is a good field knife that can be pressed into defensive use, but it’s no knife to conceal on you. It’s more of a hip wear/plate carrier knife.
