Almost all of these gang torture murder victims seem to be females. Junko Furuta, Hello Kitty murder, that 'witch' burning in Papua New Guinea, public stoning of a woman in Afghanistan. People seem to have less empathy for females. Some of these crimes even have female perpetrators. I wonder if the men would sympathise if it was male victims pleading for their lives.

This case is one of many that's stuck with me for many years. She died in the worst way I can imagine; alone, terrified, confused and in horrific pain. I've worked with developmentally delayed and disabled people for my entire adult life. I'm not virtue signaling, it's just what I do for a living and one of the greatest joys of my life (2nd only to fatherhood). Poor Jennifer didn't choose to be born disabled, and most certainly didn't deserve to be bullied, so I can only imagine how confusing, painful, and terrifying her final hours must have been. The sense of betrayal she must have felt to be so horribly abused by people she considered her friends is utterly heartbreaking. Long-time listener to this page, as somebody who grew up in a similar background. I am in a wheelchair. However, not nearly as disadvantaged as Jennifer was in her mental capacity which absolutely makes no difference in how horrific this crime is/was. I grew up in a loving home with many others, my parents were also foster parents to dozens of other kids. I know the stories of so many parents who raise children with advanced or unique needs. The dream for all of them is that their loved ones find their place in the world and that includes living independent or semi-independent lives. Crimes like this are a sad, tragic reminder that not only will people take advantage of those in vulnerable positions, but it is a reminder for me as I live, independently in my own apartment in a relatively safe area but I am always cautious and aware of my surroundings. None of this is the fault of Jennifer or her family. I applaud them for trying their best to thread the needle between being protective of her and wanting her to experience life as best she could, their choices didn’t take that away from her, her murderers did. I worked in social services for seven years and hearing this story, chills me to the bone and breaks my heart because everybody that can should have a chance to live a life full of unique experiences, and getting the help to do that is required for some. It angers me, even as a believer and a deeply devout Christian, that evil like this does indeed exist. I won’t go off on a tirade, but it is a reason why I am a believer in the proper application of capital punishment. What shocks me, even more, is that one of her murderers himself had mental handicaps/mental issues that even those we least expect are capable of even the most unforgivable things against a fellow human being. I have commented fairly sporadically throughout my time following this page, but this one strikes at a very personal place for me. I appreciate you being honest about your purpose with Jennifer’s story, but I am also so sad that it even happened and that it has to be covered. For anybody that has known anybody with special or unique needs. Let them know you love them and if they are thriving, cheer them on. If they are struggling do what you can to be there. If they are like Jennifer just love them no matter what. Thank you for letting me get my thoughts out.

I went to highschool with Jen. & in HS she was not made fun of at least that I know of or seen. Everyone was super nice to her bc she was always so very nice & sweet to everyone. We had a few special needs kids in our highschool & most all of us looked out for her & the others. Of course I’m sure there were some a holes that made fun of her. But for the most part , everyone I knew stuck up for her. Hearing about what happened to her from those pieces of trash , was heart breaking! RIP Jennifer. ❤

She still probably was, you just didn’t see it. Bullies like to prey on people when there’s nobody watching

Fairly new subscriber (6weeks?) and my first comment but THANK YOU for putting out quality content and doing it CONSISTENTLY. I subscribe to a few true crime channels and am always clinging to notifications (and doing so frustratingly and impatiently) as to when they upload new content because many don’t do so at such a regular pace as you! I recommend your channel to my friends now and you’re definitely a favorite. Happy New Year and keep up the great work (and be safe out there).

ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING!!! This one was so hard to listen to! Her poor parents living with guilt, they only wanted her to live a fulfilling and social life. Sleep in Eternal Peace Jennifer💞💞

This one is extremely tough for me, because I have a younger brother who has William's syndrome, which makes him incapable of mistrusting people and thinks everyone is his friend. He's incredibly trusting and vulnerable.

I am in England and I worked with vulnerable adults. And my lovely service users had so many things that they love to do. They had many activities such as going to see their favourite bands, picnics, shopping etc. Each other had their niche they loved to do. And to think Jennifer had to endure what she did is shocking. She was tortured. RIP Jennifer.

A horrible betrayal from these "friends" she must have been so scared and wanting her family. Rest in peace 💔

This case was just the worst ever the things they did to Jennifer was beyond comprehension. I’m so glad these monsters stay locked up forever. Love your podcasts they are horrific but need to be never forgotten.

My brother is mentally disabled and when we were in school, me and my friends were fiercely protective of him. It’s a special kind of F’d up to bully or mess with special needs kids

When you think you’ve heard it all. I am devastated for Jennifer and her family. The only positive in this entire case is that she took down 6 sickos that deserve every second behind bars, where they can’t touch another innocent soul. RIP Sweet soul ❤

I honestly feel sick watching this, and required some strength to get though it My heart goes out to her family, and all her loved ones. Knowing this is how she spent her last moments is heart wrenching, I hope the 6 get the same done back to them everyday.
