I love her face in this song, not just because it is so beautiful, but because it displays the emotions of the song so perfectly. We can see on her expressions what the songs means to her on a real and human level, that it isn’t just a collection of words and melodies compiled together to sell records, that, instead it is a declaration of passion and courage.

i think this isn't a breakup song. at least i hope this is not. break ups and relationships are stupid. Making something of yourself is more important. at times, you feel tired and confused. you don't feel the same drive but believe me, that end result is amazing. Relationships will come to you themselves, once you really make something out of your life.

funny that you say beautiful and tragic bc there's a song called Sad Beautiful Tragic by Taylor Swift which is highly underrated that you should listen to, everyone thinks all Taylor's breakup songs are bitter but most of them aren't especially Sad Beautiful Tragic

@@smyasir0 Relationships aren't stupid. People can be stupid in relationships but love is a really good thing that shouldn't be undervalued. Yes, it's definitely important to build yourself up before getting in a relationship but almost nobody actually does that lol and you can't fault them for just living life and exploring things they want. Ideally we would all be great individuals before getting in relationships but that's just impossible.

[Verse 1] Don't know where I am with you Forgetting time and space with you Oh, I wish we had a common view You see my red as blue I don't belong in your universe For better or for worse [Pre-Chorus] I'm the same, but I'm bolder You'll get home, but I'm on my way out now Not the same destinations I will stay when you get off the train [Chorus] You're as safe as a mountain But know that I am dynamite Oh, you're as safe as a mountain But know that I am dynamite [Verse 2] Your hand is warm but my heart is blue Is blue now I miss you, but I've got things to do Oh, I wish we had a common view You see my red as blue I don't belong in your universe For better or for worse [Pre-Chorus] I'm the same, but I'm bolder You'll get home, but I'm on my way out now Not the same destinations I will stay when you get off the train [Chorus] You're as safe as a mountain But know that I am dynamite Oh, you're as safe as a mountain But know that I am dynamite Know that I am dynamite Know, know that I am dynamite Know that I am dynamite [Bridge] Oh, it's so cold here 'Cause I left my heart to be with you Oh, it's so cold here 'Cause I left my heart to be with you [Pre-Chorus] I'm the same, but I'm bolder You'll get home, but I'm on my way out now Not the same destinations Know I will stay when you get off the train [Chorus] You're as safe as a mountain But know that I am dynamite Oh, you're as safe as a mountain But know that I am dynamite

I've heard people compare her to Adele and other mainstream artists, but I don't think these comparisons do her justice. Sigrid is a gem! The way she conveys emotion through her music, the rawness combined with her powerful, crystal clear, yet raspy voice, makes this song a masterpiece! Stå på Sigrid! Although I agree that Sigrid is great and indeed a breath of fresh air, the irony in the (ill) comparison & saying 'mainstream artists like Adele' isn't lost. Just because she gets airtime/play due to people recognizing her talent and voice (which is anything but generic compared to tons of unidentifiable and uninspired popmusic singers out there, including those who are 'well-known') doesn't make her mainstream. Particularly odd you'd say that only to continue and mention emotion and rawness, which are two characteristics clearly present in Adele's voice and are things she's been praised for.

@@ceryseira What does it mean for someone to be "mainstream"? Cardi B is mainstream, and she's trash compared to this girl. The Beatles were mainstream and amazing songwriters. "Raw", "Strangers", "Plot Twist" all have modern "mainstream" qualities to them. wtf do you even mean by that?

@Dan Bayfield I’m also a metal and “good” hard rock fan. Nothing like tasty licks and shredding guitars. But I’ve been turned on to singer/songwriters, listening to the amazing lyrics and those ethereal voices. This is the first time I’ve heard Sigrid. She’s a keeper

That's good to hear man. I feel there is always a big hatrid nowdays between metal and pop, I'm personally a huge pop fan but I'm not swayed into hating people for liking a certain genre. Every price of music has a meaning to someone and people with different experiences may connect with some genres better than others. Nice comment man :)

Her live shows has more of a presence with the electric guitars and makes some her songs more palitable for folks who like the rock guitar sound like myself.

Perfect vocals. This song specifically reminds me of Joni Mitchell. Love the way she can sing clean and smooth and then transition to that scratchy lions voice where it continues to be strong. She has great melodies in her other songs as well. She will be around for a long time.

First time I ran across this song I automatically thought of Stevie Nicks. Not that they sound the same or are of the same style but that deep, true emotion that touches your heart and grabs on to your soul. I ran across one song a couple days ago and am now in love with everything I have heard so far. Such talent is so rare.

I’ve known Norway coz of Fra Lippo Lippi and now with Sigrid. Crazy talent. I will pray that you will stay humble. Don’t be pressured with your upcoming stardom and always value and cherish life. Remember what Liam Neeson told you in Graham Norton show, “eat and take a rest”. This simply means, don’t depend on something else or don’t do drugs. And don’t allow your management to book you back to back concerts. It’ll just kill you.

Simply speaking, be Norwegian - standing for yourself is the ultimate courage. As for the bad management - she and her friends are soooo above it for now.

This song is about being alone and travelling, thats what she said at one of shows. Not really about a breakup but i think it is about heart break. When she sings " ohhh its soo cold here, i left my heart to be with u" made me almost cry the first time i heard it.

Don't know where I am with you Forgetting time and space with you Oh, I wish we had a common view You've seen my red as blue I don't belong in your universe For better or for worse I'm the same, but I'm bolder You'll get home, but I'm on my way out now Not the same destinations I will stay when you get off the train You're as safe as a mountain But know that I'm dynamite Oh, you're as safe as a mountain But know that I'm dynamite Your hand is warm but my heart is blue Is blue now I miss you, but I've got things to do Oh, I wish we had a common view You've seen my red as blue I don't belong in your universe For better or for worse I'm the same, but I'm bolder You'll get home, but I'm on my way out now Not the same destinations I will stay when you get off the train You're as safe as a mountain But know that I'm dynamite Oh, you're as safe as a mountain But know that I'm dynamite Know that I'm dynamite Know, know that I'm dynamite Know that I'm dynamite Oh, it's so cold here 'Cause I left my heart to be with you Oh, it's so cold here 'Cause I left my heart to be with you I'm the same, but I'm bolder You'll get home, but I'm on my way out now Not the same destinations Know I will stay when you get off the train You're as safe as a mountain But know that I'm dynamite Oh, you're as safe as a mountain But know that I'm dynamite

There is a beautiful simplicity to this song. To future singers: she uses vowels extremely effectively to expound on her vocal ability. Sometimes you can use less to achieve more. The song structure is basically two choruses but her absolute mastery and technique take it to the next level. The emotional impact is insane. Listen to this with your eyes closed when relaxed. It will take you to another dimensional reality. Props Sigrid.. you are infinitely beautiful.

i feel like this song just mean so much to her, maybe something that happened in her life, and when she sang it there she just remembered that, just look at her face at the end really sad and looks really close to crying. This song always give me so much emotions and it's maybe because she wrote it with her heart. Keep writing songs like this and you'll be a big singer and performer
